Something is wrong when a small group of people called a Library Board of Trustees determines that a public library must continue to allow access to pornography despite admittedly being outside the library's mission, the Township Committee claims it is powerless to stop the Board, and the citizens have no say.

Because I'm surprised someone with your track record around here would be supportive of letting kids acess porn at their library. No wonder the liberals' attacks on the family and our culture have made so much ground.

In today's society , if the child in question is older than 12, chances are better than 75% that the "child" is no longer "innocent" in the classic sense of the word, and has almost certainly seen pornography before - even the "good" kids.

But you're correct: using the Lefts' own tactics against them DOES have a certain appeal. :)

One of us actually quit teaching in a school that had inadequate filters because the youngsters were accessing porn and he did not want to be involved in that, and efforts to improve the filters went unheeded.

I will tell you that when they were small I didn't leave them in public places (including the library) unattended. I had them; they were my responsibility, not someone else's. If you want to believe, as Hillary does, that the "village" is responsible for raising your children, fine. I never believed that, and I don't now.

It's a two way PUBLIC street.

Parents should watch their kids in public places AND public places should not be used for porn.

The problem is children accessing porn and the problem is adults who don't want to see porn, but for various reasons they would be subject to the porn viewing of others.

Scary. Even perfectly innocent children can accidently get a porn site and may become permanently scarred by what they see, or some spyware software pops up pornographic windows even where your kids are blameless. A few weeks ago a man was arrested or convicted of having thousands of misspelled sites like dinsey.com just to lure kids to porn.
