The 1st Brigade Combat Team (BCT) collected an additional two surface-to-air missiles at the Qayyarah Oil Refinery from an individual who had turned in weapons to Coalition Forces in the past.
A 2nd BCT patrol turned up 20 rockets and at least three 155mm rounds with wires running through them rigged as an improvised explosive device (IED). The area was secured and explosive ordinance personnel later disarmed the IEDs.
The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) will continue similar security operations throughout Northern Iraq.
