If not Bush, then who?

I've noticed several threads where people say they will not vote for Bush if he supports certain causes. Some include:
Memogate:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1045476/posts
Broad Amnesty in immigration:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1046165/posts
(Please don't see this as an attack on those threads or any comments in them, it's not.)
While I agree with the conservative position on both of these threads, I don't understand how a person could not vote for Bush even if he does some things that are inexplicable from a conservative point of view.
My belief is nothing could be worse than a democrat in office in 2004. I know that is the lesser of two evils vote, but it is true.
Even if Bush gave amnesty to immigrants to pander to hispanics, which would be disgusting, is that reason enough to allow a democrat a greater chance to get in office? Wouldn't the dems likely do worse?

Unfortunately there's not. You have to take the bad with the good just like on most forums. Welcome aboard tho. :)

We have a Democrat in office, boys and girls. Spending is higher than under Clinton and so are deficits. We have prescription drugs about to become the biggest entitlement in the history of this country. We are giving amnesty to illegal immigrants. Clinton's CIA Director, the man responsible for the intelligence failure for 911, still holds his job. RU-486 is legal and we're expected to vote for pro-abortion federal court judges because they're Hispanic.
We have a Democrat in office, and it's time to run a Republican against him. Look at the electoral trends thanks to illegal immigration, and you'll realize that 2004 may be our last chance to elect a Republican who'll do something about it. Is your loyalty to Bush or to America?
My loyalty is to the USA. But else what can we do? Who is better? If unsatisfied conservatives vote for a third candidate and Dean ends up in office, are we better off?
I understand the points you make, but I still think a dem in office would be much worse for all you name and more.

I have been told by GO's at Huachuca that reporting the aliens even around the base is ignored. No one to report to and too many incidents.

Junior. I've been around here longer than you. And I don't have to give you my history either(Yes I am proud of it). If You don't like me so be it. I'll continue to fight our enemies so you can continue to have the rights you do have including the whining and the moaning. I'll just say this, I am more concerned with defeating our enemies than crying over stinking money.

If you have specific information, you have a responsibility to report it. You say you have it on second-hand information that reporting it does no good. You should try to report specific info. Try the FBI.

If you are not voting for Bush, you ARE voting for the Dem. No, you very silly person. If I am voting for the dem then I am voting for the dem.
It is quite easy to understand the difference. Would you prefer I cast no vote for President or cast a vote for the dem? Get it?

I'm wichoo, Ag. I'm enjoying the tax cuts, feeling more secure because of the WOT, and happy that a president finally signed a ban on late-term abortions, among other things. I'm looking forward to finding full-time employment again with the economy on the upswing.
I understand that our president has to "be a politician" in order to reverse so many years of a socialistic trend in our country. What the leftists accomplished with incrementalism and scare tactics can't be defeated overnight.
I do hope this administration will hear the outcry of American citizens regarding illegal immigration and actually represent our point of view on that issue. That's one of my few complaints. However, I'm voting for George W. Bush in 2004. He is a good man who is honest, strong (but sensitive---I like that) and faithful to his duty as President of The United States.
Like I said elsewhere, Great minds think alike I hope others see this and get Bush back in, I don't see a better, feasible choice anywhere.
I agree, and I hope we can get more conservatives appointed as judges to undo some of the Clintooon damage. Schumer(spit) has a big mouth but hopefully he can't filibuster for another 4 years!

I agree, even though over all I really like GWB. May God forgive me for the thoughts I have when Hillary(spit) is mentioned! She must NEVER be allowed back in the white house. Agreed 100%

Shweetie, I don't cry over money used to fight the war. BUT money used by the Feds for other purposes is money used to regulate OUR behavior.

If you don't like the direction of something, get involved at the grass roots and work for what you believe in. Protest votes can get the worst choice elected.

W for me, too. I think it is selfish, petulant, and self serving to NOT vote for W, because of some of the stances Bush has taken. Do I like blanket amnesty? AWB extension? Kennedy's Education bill? Of course not! But to those of you blustering about staying at home or voting third party, I have two words for you: Howard Dean.

I understand and respect what you say. However, I'll repeat myself here: If unsatisfied conservatives vote for a third candidate and Dean ends up in office, are we better off?
I truely have a fear of the socialist, liberal left the dems represent. I believe they will harm our military and our sovereignty, promote abortion and sell us out to Islamists and other forgien intrests.
I agree we need to send a message to Republicans, especially on immigration and gun control, but can't that be done without putting a dangerous man like Dean in office?
BTW, God bless you for serving our country.

I hope that if a Democrat won, at least we'd have a strong GOP opposition...
CFR, the PATRIOT Act, medicare, a possible illegal amnesty and other things done in this administration have "disenfranchised" many Republicans (and independent conservatives as well), and if the amnesty goes through it's going to be that much harder to get a Republican in White House.
I don't know what the future will be with Dean, but with Bush it looks like America will become either another European country (socialist), or another Mexico.
