Flights From Paris to U.S. Cancelled

MSNBC just announced that three flights from Paris to the U.S. have been suddenly cancelled due to "security concerns". The first flight was scheduled to depart Paris heading for Los Angeles.

Any successful attack on Christmas Day on any symbolic target in America by the Islamokazis would be seen as a victory for their side.

They desperately need a symbolic victory as their tactics after 9/11 against America have been a big zero.

The date is symbolic enough. They've made their point about hitting symbolic targets earlier about hitting the Pentagon, and the WTC. What they need this time is more body count, and more new venues.

New York and Washington are already in the game. Al Qaida needs to hit a major city in California (San Fran, San Diego or L.A), Las Vegas or Seattle. Why?

Because they want a war, and they want us to want it. They know the East Coast is on board, because it hit close to home. They know the midwest and the south is on board, because it's a more conservative area that will respond to being attacked. The people who still are not committed are the people out West, because they are both liberal and unaffected by the terror thus far. It's not real to them.

AQ needs to make it real for them, to further their idiotic plans, and I have no doubt they'll try.

I suppose you're right (along with Disneyland down the road, the Rose Bowl, etc.); but I just think they have a penchant for visual symbolism, and that DC/NYC targets IMHO remain high on their list.

I'm flying to SF tomorrow (with a stop in Cincinnati!!!), so I'm a little uneasy, too. But what can you do? Pray and be vigilant, and that's about it.

The left wingers on the left coast will never be committed in this war against Islamofascist Terrorism.

They literally hate GW, Christians, Real Jews and conservatives so much, they would never join the rest of America in the war on terrorism.

I think that feeling is there with the liberals in the NE States. Dean and Kerry sound just like the left wingers out here.

Even if the Islamofascists took out a really symbolic site on the West Coast, the left wingers out here would blame it on GW, the Jews, The Christians and Israel.

At a bigger airport, yes, but National is quite small. Everybody knows everybody. We have yet to see any good-ole boys lurking as AQ moles.

And there are only 2 kinds of flight attendants out of National - fat old women with attitudes and young macho gay men. They would take anyone suspicious down before the Air Marshal could reach the seat.

If someone stands up 30 minutes from National, they are given one shouting warning, then they get trampled. You get told that if you have to take a dump, do it before the plane goes off - or do it in your pants - if you want to land alive.
