That one shook for at least a full minute. Been a long time since I've been in one that shook for such a great length.
They're saying it's a 6.5 from San Luis Obispo.

Hearst Castle looked to me like it could withstand quite a bit But it is filled with lots of crap to fall over, down, etc.

6.5 -- San Simeon. My family in Lompoc just called and said the power is out.

That's a good size aftershock.

This is not good....
I've got to clean out the attached garage this Christmas break and so far nothing is preventing me from doing it....
Has this affected Wichita, anyone?

about a 4% chance that this is a FOREshock. That's it. I'm moving to Iowa.

Just talked to my sis in Westwood. Gentle rolling, nothing too terrible. But to feel it that strong in LA when the earthquake is that far north - wow! This sucker was huge.

"about a 4% chance that this is a FOREshock."
Wow, I hope that 4% doesnt happen.
To: eXe
Yep, it rolled pretty good here, just south of Diablo Canyon Power Plant. The good news is we don't see a mushroom cloud yet.

Yeah, I'm not sure I'd want to be taking the tour indoors when the shaking started.
