Atlanta, Georgia Long time-Clinton family insider and nationally-renowned political advisor Dick Morris says Sen. Hillary Clinton is leaning toward a run for the Vice Presidential spot in next years election. Morris also speculated that Howard Dean, the likely Democrat presidential nominee, will ask Mrs. Clinton to join his ticket in the near future.
Appearing last night on Bob Barrs Laws of the Universe®, Dick Morris gave some of the most candid insight into the Clinton camps strategy for her much expected run for the presidency in 2008. The transcript from the show that aired last night is as follows:
Bob Barr:
Ive gotta ask you, what is Hillary up to? When is she going to run for President? And, what is she going to be doing in the presidential race this coming year?
Dick Morris: Shell run for President in 08. But, I think that there is an increasing chance that she may run for Vice President in 04. I think that Dean is gonna get the Democratic nomination. And, he has got to be scared to death that the Clintons are going to knife him in the back while hes running.
. . . [T]he Clintons put up Wesley Clark. They funded him. They put all of their people in there. They backed Liebermann before that. They flirted with Kerry. Anybody but Dean! And, Dean has got to be very scared about that. And, I think theres a very good argument that he may wanna take a hostage and put Hillary on his ticket, so that doesnt happen.
. . . And from Hillarys point of view, a month ago she thought she had a clear shot at the nomination in 08. She knew Dean would win. She knew that Dean would loose to Bush. It was ideal. There would be an open White House and no democrat of any stature to run. Then Gore comes along and endorses Dean. And, thats basically a statement by Gore that Im not retired. Im back in the fray. You may see me running in 08.
. . . And then she has to also worry that there may be a new vice presidential candidate, like Wesley Clarke, who could use it to run in 08. So, for a lot of reasons she may want to get in there, preempt Clark, outshine Gore, and have her clear shot at the nomination.
Bob Barrs Laws of the Universe® airs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM each Sunday evening on the Radio America Network. Bob Barr entertains listeners with his sharp sense of humor and unconventional wit applied to current news and politics.

Nah, she heard Rudy is running against her and knows she will never win again in NY. She's moving on to plan B.

And, he has got to be scared to death that the Clintons are going to knife him in the back while hes runningOh but what if a miracle happens and he wins? Then he gets to live with this fear for some period of time. How long? Who knows?

If by some chance (like Satan having to take up skiing!) and Dean/Clinton gets elected, I wouldn't be surprised if something very similar to this happens to Dean. Or maybe they'll find him in a park after he committed "suicide." Hillary would be president. Shudder to think!

We had better hear loud and clear LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE from the pundits on the left.
I shall be standing in the corner holding my breath until they do.

Never, ever happen.
But if it did, I would say Dean has a death wish like I have never seen.
Or maybe there is something to the old adage keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

As usual, I think Dick Morris needs to cut down on his meds before he starts making predictions. He has proved competent as a campaign strategist and adviser, but has a batting average that a pitcher would be ashamed of when it comes to forecasting.
Sometimes I wonder if he doesn't say outrageous things just to get attention.

I wouldn't put anything past Hillary! But since this is based on a quote from toesucker Morris, I'll discount it appropriately.

Anybody who would take Hitlery on as a Veep must have a serious death wish.
Of course, looks like Morris is saying that if Dean DOESN'T take Hitlery on as his Veep candidate, he may find himself in Fort Marcy Park . . .
I wish these two-bit Dixie mafiosi would just go away.

Dean better watch his back and have an official taster if Hillary becomes his V.P. She is dangerous to life and safety if you get between her and power.

Dick Morris isn't exactly the most accurate political forecaster I've observed.
And really don't think anyone from the Clinton camp has talked to him in years.

She WILL serve out her term. A Dean/Clinton ticket will be defeated by Bush.
>> "And, he has got to be scared to death that the Clintons are going to knife him in the back while hes running." <<
WOW, and he is NOT scared of this possibility with Hil-rat as his VP?????

Anyone who is dumb enough to put themselves between Hillary Clinton and the Presidency is too stupid to be president, period.

Morris has become the classic "talking head" who is now famous because he is famous and used because he is used and viewers have a high comfort rating with him. As far as him being an accurate analyst, that "skill" went out the window. As an analyst he sucks (toes).

The only way she will take the #1 or #2 spot on a ticket is if it looks like the dems have a chance at the time of their convention.
