12 Rebels (Terrorists) Killed in Dagestan Airstrikes
Associated Press | Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003.

MAKHACHKALA, Dagestan -- Aided by helicopters, hunters and local volunteers, soldiers and police searched the remote mountains of western Dagestan a third day Wednesday for rebels who killed nine border guards.

A total of 12 rebels have been killed during the search operation -- eight in one helicopter strike Tuesday and four more in a separate airstrike Tuesday night, said Alexei Maslov, the chief of staff of the federal military district that includes Dagestan and Chechnya.

On Wednesday, about 100 local volunteers aided a total of about 2,000 Dagestani police and federal military forces trying to track down the remaining rebels, helping them find mountain paths and potential hiding places.

President Vladimir Putin's representative in southern Russia, Viktor Kazantsev, placed blame on the military for the incursion and "all this chasing of rebels in the mountains," saying officers "knew about the paths they can use and failed to take advantage of their experience" with gunmen in the region.

Good shooting in Dagestan Bump!

Since this is from AP, is it safe to say these "rebels" were members of the Religion Of Peace?

This is what happens, in the only constellation of these two factors
- US military instructing the army of a country bordering Russia
- and hosting terrorists which infiltrate Russia with most modern portable equipment MANPADS

The stunning victory of Chechen nationalists versus the decaying Russian Federation was a minor campaign in the Third World War yet it held tremendous strategic significance for America's 21st century energy policy. With U.S. covert operations successfully overthrowing the Georgian government, the Chechen flank was secured and Shamil Basayev given the green light to launch his offensive against Moscow. Basayev was willing to negotiate free passage for the Baku-Tblisi oil pipeline in exchange for the high-tech weaponry and real-time intelligence reports needed to annihilate the Russian occupation forces.

-- Triumph of the Postmodern: The Third World War Revisited. p. 156

*********

The greatest fighter on the face of this earth -- Shamil Basayev -- has given the Russian Federation a February 1st deadline to retire north of the Terek River. Should Putin refuse this reasonable demand, then Moscow will suffer catastrophic consequences. Chechen units rampaging through the Caucuses in the last 24 hours -- scores of Russians killed on the ground.

With the newest delivery of late-generation MANPADS now delivered in Baku, it is only a matter of time before the Russian birds plummet from the sky. Combined with the ferocity of Allah's Suitcase, it is now clear that the Chechens outgun the Russians. Yet Putin only with dreams of re-election in another fraudulent election campaign.

Putin merely another jack-booted ex-KGB thug who has found temporary success by destroying democracy in Russia even as he commits genocide versus the Chechen people in a desperate attempt to retain power. Western policy makers alarmed with Putin's unilateral heist of the country and have now agreed that Shamil Basayev represents a lesser threat to the West than the madman Putin.

Thus Putin must be neutralised. Wet work is as wet work does...

Putin must yield or face destruction. The Russian henchman but another Moscow thug wearing a cheap suit and a bad haircut. He vowed a holy oath to destroy America -- yet it is he that will be taken down by the United States' superior strategic vision...

The long history of Moscow with but 43 days to run. Where Napoleon and Hitler failed, Basayev will succeed...

The forces of freedom on the move. Europe trembles.

It is going to be exciting. More apartment buildings to be bombed or maybe some hospital?

No no, parades with children and trains, not forget train....oh and occassional rock concert and such. You know, Chechin really stupid peoples. They fight like Arab but do not breed like Arab. They fight against enemy who not know restraint or care to know restraint of Israelies. Further they have demographic reverse, not outnumber Russians but outnumbered self almost 200 : 1. Now dumb biatches blow self off...and all young too, so for each dead that 3-4 little rats not born....racial abortions. Without concerted genocide or any such and only as attrition of war, numbers fall from 900,000 to 700,000 Chechin in Russia. Keep it up scum bags and soon you extinct.

It is not look like american weapon. It looks like Igla type. WHere they get it from? My guess many of those was left in former repiblics of USSR. So they may get them from any of those.

Conservative maybe american politics toward Russia wasn't very wise sometimes. But there wasn't proofs about direct backstabbing in Chechnya. ELse we heard many cries just now.

I'd say that american modern weapon in hands of chechen rebels is sam emyth like russian modern weapon in hands of sadammites in Iraq. Lot of speculations but no proofs.

Training facility for chechens in Turkey? You kidding.
Conservative I understand you are polemist but don't you lose true sense in process?:)

EVen FSB never talked about american involvement or monies for chechen rebels. There was SAUDI monies so.
Remeber that Saudis and Egypt had access to some old american equipmets. So it may ended up into chechen hands.
But I never heard that checehns has M-16 or Stingers. But I heard a lot about AKMs and Igla-2 missiles. Those weapons they use are Of soviet|russian design and production.

It is all just mythes. The american modern weaponry in hands of chechens and russian modern weaponry in hand sof saddamites.

Conservative your references that is exactly what I call the allergations and mythes.
DOn't you think if some journal-lamer publisized article filled with gossips and his insinuations then suddently thise article became the solid truth? I don't think so.
DOn't you fall for same weakness our many opponents fall on this forum.
They picked up some article of some journal-lamer from for example Washington Times or NewsMAx about Russia filled with stupid gossips and allerations and they beleived in it wholeheartedly as it is god revelation.
We both critisize those people frequantly for that.
Why now you yourself do same thing? Where is your nonsense detector?

There was many years of that war in Chechnya to now. Many people was on that war. Many of them wrote thier memoirs about actions. You know russian language you may read them in original. I red lot of them myself.
I spoke with people whom I know personally and who was on this war.
None told nothing about american weaponry in hands of chechen rebels. No one! Some told about american radio equipment which they had. SOme spoke about NATO uniform they had. But that equipment one may buy in regular store. Nothing special.
Nowhere I red that chechens was trained by turkey instructors or NATO instructors or anyone from US.
EVen russian FSB the first service to fight terrorism never mentioned nothing like this. Aren't those a facts?

Those articles you ref mean nothing.
