What is Bill's problem with Matt tonight?
For those who did not watch the Factor tonight. Bill was compairing Matt to Michael Moore, etc. and basicly said you can not believe a thing on their web sites.
Its a Big Time Drudge bash fest. I guess he is a little PO'd because his book is not doing to well and Matt posted the results.

I'd like to know whose accuracy score Drudge is being compared to. If it is the LA Times, the NY Times or the Washington Post, it is no contest as to whose info I find more believable. Why just this morning in the LA Times, I read a front page article that referred to Ricardo Sanchez as being a Lieutenant Colonel instead of a Lieutenant General. Although this is a relatively small issue to nitpick, nevertheless you would think that given their resources, the LA Times could get something like that right.

I truly believe if Christ walked on his set, Bill would grill Him !
Only thing is, I also believe HE would get the LAST WORD.
It is truly sad, that O' had such a good platform....and now I can't watch him. Sad too, that he is making Al Frankin right just by his bully behavior.

O'Reilly is a classic case of Narcissistic Personality Disorder
His constant self-praise, his exaggerated sense of his own importance, his need to feel superior, especially by attacking others,, his need for admiration by others, and his intolerance of even the slightest criticism are all clear signs of the illness
And it is considered a mental illness

Didn't this feud actually start over Drudge breaking the story about O'Reilly was going to start his radio show on the heels of Rush Limbaugh's ear operation?Yes, Drudge trashed O'Reilly for proposing to start a radio show when Rush was having his ear problems.
I like Drudge more than I like O'R, but I think Drudge hyped up that first story. Made it seem as if O'R was trying to take advantage of Rush's condition when the facts did NOT necessarily support that interpretation.
O'R is just plain wrong when he attacks Drudge as being inaccurate. Drudge makes too much of some facts and occasionally misinterprets some facts, but he is highly accurate.
O'R has an incredible ego, but still has a good show often.

Thanks. I'd forgotten about the billboard angle.
O'Reilly admittedly gets on my nerves sometimes, (not that I watch a lot of TV anymore). I'd hate to be a transcriber of his shows.

deserve a television show Thank god its not up to someone or a group to decide who 'deserves' a show. Wrong choice of words.

I watch Bill and Sean almost every night and can't help but notice that they rarely if ever mention one another. I also notice that there is never any hand off segue from one show to the next like there almost always is between Hanity and Comes and On the Record with Gretta Van Susteren. I'm starting to think that Bill doesn't play well with others. I still enjoy watching him. Oh well, life is not perfect.

I don't think Bill does play with others. He's a bit of a gasbag but I love the way he rassled with those two punk rap artists a while back.

Oh well,,, they are in a silly on air fight -
O'Reilly does great good with his focus on some really important issues and having the guts to say what needs saying for millions to hear.

O'Reilly does have thin skin.
The funniest momnet on one of his shows that I saw was when he called Neil Boortz a "viciaous SOB." Neil just laughed him off and stillhas fun with it on his radio show.

O'Reilly is usually taped, which explains no banter between shows. As far as his "name dropping" H&C, can't say....

O'Reilly is jealous because Matt gets over 1 billion hits a year.
What does Matt do that is wrong in Bill's eye? He says he's a "right wing extremist that perpetuates lies".
What lies? Matt's site is 98% a LINK site. He links to writings by OTHERS! What O'Reilly hates is that Matt links to stories that don't flatter him.
But I find Matt also posts the cable news ratings periodically and O'Reilly is always on top.
Bill even tried to equate the VILE crap coming from websites like MoveOn.org and DU to Drudge. Sorry Bill, that's spin. It's not even close.
If Drudge "lies" it's usually because he post a link to a LIE by someone else. Does reporting the news as written by others constitute a lie just because you post it? O'Reilly knows better than that.
Now, I like O'Reilly enough and watch his show. But he doesn't get deep into issues and consistenly ignores many aspects of a story in his quick hit format.

Matt reports mostly what others write. So you are shooting the messenger.
So I can say your post to FreeRepublic, based on that standard, is accurately pretty low.

I have more thoughts -- this is going to be just like O'Reilly's on-going fight with Al Franken - if Bill would have just ignored Franken's pathetic little book, hardly anyone would have known about it. Instead, O'Reilly starts a fire, and then feigns being pissed off about all the smoke. Yep. And continuing with your analogy, O'Reilly's got way too short a fuse for somebody in the public eye.

One interesting thing I noticed about the book sale numbers Drudge posted: it has "Lying History" as selling a total of 1,084,520 copies this year. Didn't Hillary's book publisher claim to have sold much higher numbers than this? Howlin, I'm pinging you to this as I thought you might have remembered this as well. Anybody else out there remember this?

"At six when i'm at work, I listen to Mark Levin."
Me, too... except I'm not at work. James Golden was very good as well (a.k.a. Bo Sneardly) - I wish Rush would put HIM on as a substitute one of these days (yes, I know I've said that before... but this seems to be an appropriate time to say it again!) :-)

I did a quick look online for Hillary's book figures. In July, her publisher claimed that her book had sold 1 million copies (remember how Tucker Carlson had to eat his shoe because he predicted he wouldn't)? Yet Drudge's scanned book figures, which cover the major outlets (about 70-80% of all book publishers) show her as only selling 1,084,520. These numbers don't add up.

Not a wrong choice of words, simply an opinion. Mine. I'm as entitled to an opinion as that loud mouth O'Reilly. He does not need either you or me. His self worship is perfectly sufficient.

I have more respect for Michael Moore and Bill Moyers than I do for Mr. OReally. I wouldn't go anywhere near that far, but I think all three of them are much the same: they all are egomaniacs, and they are are pretty miserable people.
O'Reilly thinks if he can act smug enough, he can get people to think he's intelligent. This is the same thing as Paul Begala thinking if he talks fast enough, people will think he's intelligent. Both are idiots who, without the bombastic use of their voice to drown out the competition, couldn't whip a paper bag in a fair debate.
