Go Rush-heh heh heh-"DUmmies" sure fits over there, doesn't it. Of course- The scary thing is how many people think just like them, and hold elected offices in our country.
Somebody please explain to me why you would vote for someone to run your country, who actively, openly, hates your country? How is that a good thing? Would you send your kid to a school where the teachers openly say they hate children?

I think it's pitiful that he even mentions such a small and goofy group of internet idiots. In fact, I think it's pitiful that so many around here do.

For the last week or so, I've been looking at DU several times a day. I'd never really gone over there, although from posting here I was familiar with it and pretty much knew what it was. But out of curiosity, I decided to check it out. And now I can't stop going over there, I don't know why because it makes my blood pressure go up to 300/200 every time I do. I guess it's sort of like a car wreck ... you don't want to watch it, but you can't help but watch it.
Those people are absolutely, completely insane. I'm not naive, I've been a conservative activist for 30+ years and I've dealt with plenty of liberals in my time, usually on a friendly, agree-to-disagree basis. But those people are utterly INSANE! They are from some bizarro parallel universe or the planet Twylo or something. It frightens me down to my very bone marrow that there are people walking the streets in this country who believe what they do. If that is where the American Left is at right now, then maybe revolution in the street is inevitable because those people want blood, and I don't think they're just talking, and I really expect them to start shooting when Bush wins in 2004.
Check out the threats "The Welfare State" and "It's Civil War And I'm Mad" for a good indocrination into their strange world. FYI, the woman at the center of the last thread is certifiable and needs to be placed in a straitjacket and committed to a room with padded walls.

Neal Boortz did a whole segment on his national radio show this morning on DU. He also directed people to the website and read a pageful of comments made about Saddam's capture.

People should be careful if going onto DU. I've seen in several threads here that if you register at DU, their security isn't as good as our's (Thank you, JimRob!), and your e-mail address and other info can be obtained relatively easily. You may end up on the wrong end of a spam blitz from a bunch of left-wing traitorous scum.

I posted this on FR at 6am yesterday morning:
A quick review of DU to get the early DNC position (Know thy enemy). Some early exceprts:
-- Well, I might as well go back to bed now. This is all they'll be talking about on the Sunday news, and Bush will be praised all day. I'm happy for the Iraqis, if this is the truth. But even if he's captured, it's still far from over.
-- So if true, it was the Kurds that got him and told the world, not the US troops and the Pentagon media whores reporting. Hmm... but the US will claim the capture.
-- Would Saddam be so foolish as to take refuge in Tikrit? Have they already had him in custody for some time time and are just now announcing it for some political purpose? Why was he captured and not killed like his two sons? This is the beginning of the 2004 presidential race... could there be some political advantage to Bush at this time?
-- They still haven't found Bin-Laden so it would suprise me if they actually found Saddam.
-- Are they going to let him get to trial and let him tell his story and implicate some Bush adminstration people? Or, is there going to be some kind of accident?
-- He's got serious dirt on people. Seriously- don't bet on him making it to trial, IF they let the Hague get ahold of him in the first place (even though he CLEARLY should be there- the US has no jurisdiction over his war crimes). On edit: Man, that would be great if he could take down some of Bushco with him.
-- We've now apparently captured the problem we helped create.
-- Is there some anti-Bush angle to this that we've been missing?
-- Well, outside of the fact that nothing about Hussein's capture changes the ill will felt towards America for our unilateral action, all the dead Iraqi civilians, the dead American soldiers, the crumbling infrastructure and so on, and will likely do little to curb the violence in the country...then no, there's no anti-Bush angle to it.
-- CNN anchor says that while the capture of Saddam Hussein will likely play very well in the United States, it probably won't make a hill of beans to the Iraqis.
-- At least the buzz of this will have cooled-down by the time Nov 2 rolls around again.
-- Mixed blessing, I'm glad Saddam has been captured, but I don't think we'll ever hear the end of this from the repugs. I'm dreading the next few weeks.

Might be time for a little activism...for those of you who can swing it financially; how about a little ad placed in the 'Personals' column of the Sunday paper? To wit: "Want to see how Democrats REALLY think? www.democratunderground.com." (Eight-ten bucks max.) Shine the light right on these intolerant, foul-mounthed, anti-America, anti-Christian SOB's, and do it now! Expose these heathens to the voters in the "middle", and let the chips fall where they may!
