But, Robert, Jeb Bush said he had no authority to stop this KIND of death sentence, because it came from a CIVIL court, instead of a criminal court. Do you think Bush has actually told these judges that they can starve her and he will no longer try to intervene? This is madness and nobody (or at least not enough) care or even know about this?

Was it necessary for him to contact them personally to convey his position. No. His legal staff prepared inconsequential, and misdirected briefs to give the appearance of action, IMHO. These filings, when read between the lines, were the green light for that arm of the 'system' to move ahead.
Image is everything to a complacent self-absorbed public.
