SADDAM HUSSEIN CAPTURED

Former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has been captured in his home town of Tikrit, according to reports.

There has been no independent verification of the news but Sky New's Foreign Editor Tim Marshall says the source of the news is usually reliable.

The US Defence Department says it has had no confirmation of the claims, which come from Iraqi Kurd leader Jalal Talabani, says the Iran news agency IRNA.

Hundreds of exultant people have taken to the streets of Kirkuk, firing weapons into the air in celebration.

A press conference has been announced for 12pm GMT.

In Baghdad, a spokeswoman for the US-led operation notified reporters that a "very important" announcement will be made at the press conference.

Peggy Noonan's op ed piece is priceless! She uses the lines from that old My Fair Lady song...
"Pickering Tonight, old man, you did it!
You did it! You did it!
You said that you would do it;
And indeed you did.
I thought that you would rue it;
I doubted you'd do it.
But now I must admit it
That succeed you did.
You should get a medal
Or be even made a knight."
Perfect.

Same flags waved by leftists in Israel and at the New York Times, A.C.L.U., Rainbow Coalistion, National Education Association, and the P.F.A.W.

Do you suppose there's a connection?

What great news!!

I don't need to actually say what I think should happen to a guy like this - it's enough to say that Bluebelle (my Aussie shepherd) salivates everytime I think about it. ;-)

It really doesn't matter if you don't believe Saddam has been captured or not. He's been neutralized and those directly influenced by him will soon judge and execute appropriate sentance.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Rather than Americans measuring our success by viewing Iraqis who oppose Hussein, we may want to carefully consider where they place their faith.

If they place their faith still in judging their fellow man and charging to vengeance and active retribution, all we may have done is release a larger beast.

The sooner we recognize faith in God through Christ and pass that good news along, the better the odds that past evil will be stifled. Otherwise, the past evil will merely brew a new batch of evil, perhaps worse than our comprehension.

If you ever left a message on an answering machine you can do this!
It's really that simple. AND It's a Toll Free Number !

You can leave one or more new messages each day.

Send deployed troops message on SoldiersRadio.com

SoldiersRadio is again this year providing a way to let you tell Service members worldwide that you care and are thinking about them during the Holidays.

You can do an Audio Post Card simply by calling 1-800-330-5090.
Your recorded personalized message will be played back on www.SoldiersRadio.com.

You can record a short message (30 seconds) to friends, family members or just a random message of good will. SoldiersRadio will then take your message and put it on the radio Web cast throughout the Holiday Season. Its very simple to do and works both ways ... from the field or to the Service member.

AnyServiceMember.org is also promoting the call-in holiday service in hopes of reaching a large group of people who would like to send a message to Soldiers serving away from home.

The cut-off date for the call in is tomorrow,
Monday Dec.15.

Somebody should compare the pictures of Bush capturing Saddam with Clinton capturing Elian, to show the meaning of the word "priorities." Better yet, a graphic artist should put Hussein into the closet that Clinton's ATF squad raided.
