The President today announced his next choice for Housing and Urban Development Secretary, Alphonso Jackson in the Roosevelt Room in the White House. Mr. Jackson is replacing Mel Martinez who resigned last week. Laura spent the morning at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, where she read to sick children, and watched the premiere showing of “BarneyCam II: Barney Reloaded” with them. Some goodies tonight, so enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya!!

"Dean is a psycho. He should not be allowed near the levers of power"

Never trust a man whose bottom teeth are in front of his top teeth when he smiles, a sure sign of a time bomb looking for a place to explode. Howard Dean has issues and the Oval Office is no place for him to try and come to grips with them or for us to be the victim of.

***How that woman can look in the mirror every morning is beyond me.***

I didn't think vampires could see thier reflections . . . which would explain the hair . . .

I think Dubya has some hot sauce and BBQ tongs just waiting to be used at the frying!

Now that you have said it, I think there is a strong similarity between hrc and dean. They both have monumental egos and hate toward decent people and values which made America great. I also think these are some of the reasons hrc and dean hate each other.

Hi Prairie--

GREAT tagline. And one to remember. I think that's why people sometimes get down at this time--the expectations that everyone should be happy, and you're right, it's not a happy time for everyone.

Hope all is well with you-

*** And just HOW is Dean going to get EVERYONE to join???? What an ass he is.***

GRANTED! And I'm so tired of the Dems using the word, "Unilateral" about Dubya attacking the terrorists. We have about 50 countries on our side.

A QUESTION for any history buff:
How many countries were on OUR side in WWII? And did anyone in this country dare to call our action "unilateral"?

With President Bush ignoring them ALL and all their comments, it drives them crazy. This also makes them try to out do each other with their shrill and over the top remarks about GWB. Now ALL "9 RATS a Running" are spewing the same boring and baseless attacks on President Bush and the far left of the democrat party loves it as the entire democrat party is on it's last few swirling turns before the flush is complete

Haven't read the article but will . . .

What the HE** does it matter if it was a rubber turkey or not?!?!?!!? And they're saying now that soldiers got "hand picked" to attend, and some didn't get to go. What CR**. Like did they think maybe the mess hall wasn't big enough for EVERYONE at once??? They did say there was security screening, which does make sense. The reporter (on FOX) did have enough integrity to point out that the Wash Post (I THINK it was an editorial in that paper) said at the VERY END that the mess hall was kept open for an extra five hours so everyone could eat.

Just more examples of some people absolutely refusing to see the positive in anything.

From Prairie's ping to: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1039449/posts

***In addition, the "wake vortex" of a 747 is much larger than that of a Gulfstream and could have endangered smaller planes that might have been told by unsuspecting controllers to fly behind it.***

Yeah, like there were so many small planes that might have needed to fly close behind it in that very limited airspace over the middle of the Atlantic ocean in the middle of the night . . . Yeah, I see their point--//sarcasm big time!//

Thank you, B-Bear. There ARE several ways of getting to the Barney Cam, and I found a slide show of some of it. I even got the plug-in, but all I got was music. Sigh!

No doubt that rotten little scamp, Barney, doesn't want any cats on his territory.

HSSST! SPIT!

What an absolutely STUNNING photo of President Bush and his Lady Laura -- they are such a beautiful couple, both INSIDE and out!!!!

Talk about "HOT" -- the President in his overcoat and cowboy hat (where's my fan?!).

That IS a beautiful picture of the First Couple. In fact, that's the MOST beautiful President and First Lady we've ever had. (And that includes JFK and Jackie.)

Now ALL "9 RATS a Running" are spewing the same boring and baseless attacks on President Bush and the far left of the democrat party loves it as the entire democrat party is on it's last few swirling turns before the flush is complete

And every one of those clowns complained to the high heavens that President Bush would use our troops as a campaign ad ..

And it's them that are doing these ads .. not the President

As wonderful as they both (Laura and George) look every time we see them, no matter what they're wearing I have two questions:

1. Do they ever have a bad hair day?

2. How do they keep their hands (mostly) off each other in public, and do they do anything besides have "quality" time when they're alone?

Just got my Christmas card from VP and Mrs Cheney -- it's now sitting on my mantle adjacent to the President's card!

The card features a very interesting quote from Benjamin Franklin:

"And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable than an empire can rise without his aid?"

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?!

Did anyone else get the card?

I couldn't agree with you more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [Unlike JFK and Jackie, GWB and Laura respect their marital vows AND genuinely love each other!]
