The President today announced his next choice for Housing and Urban Development Secretary, Alphonso Jackson in the Roosevelt Room in the White House. Mr. Jackson is replacing Mel Martinez who resigned last week. Laura spent the morning at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, where she read to sick children, and watched the premiere showing of “BarneyCam II: Barney Reloaded” with them. Some goodies tonight, so enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya!!

I believe Howard Dean will crater badly in 2004. I hope Bush/Cheney '04 doesn't go after him too hotly, too soon. I'd hate to see Dean implode before he's assured the nomination.

Yes, I am. Thank you for asking. The doctor thinks I did get a touch of the flu, but my flu shot actually HELPED prevent it from being any worse. Heck, I thought I wasn't supposed to get the flu at all!

Fox showed the entire film at least twice during the day .. I'm sure they will show over the weekend, just can't afford to do during 'prime time'

I think they are playing it very well. Waiting to see who their opponent will be. No sense in fighting 5 or 6 foes. Save it up for when it counts.

Normally you wouldn't have except the virus mutated again after the vaccine was developed and manufactured.

Its good to know you got some protection...a milder case is what I heard the expert on FNC predict would probably happen for those who have the shot.

Glad you're on the mend.

Dean has a huge ego and is full of hate. This combination could fry us all.

Make sure to rub on their legs and give them a good coat of dog hair, too.

I like the current approach of painting ALL the Dems as angry and uncontrolled. Then, when they've decided on their maddest candidate, paint a red circle on them and let the barrage of ads commence!

Right now, all the whiney nine are nothing more than cardboard caricatures of men. As badly as they want to look three dimensional, they'll only ever become fodder for the lining of someone's bird cage.

It's been my experience that people like this usually fry themselves. The only anomaly would be HRC.

That is a GREAT ad!!! I hate the attack ads where all they can do is criticize the other candidate(s) without saying why they're attacking, or what they'll do better. This ad lets the Dams themselves say it all! I LOVE it!

I know what I was going to spout about earlier; Dean was interviewed somewhere and criticizing how the Pres. is protecting America. HE said it isn't safer than it was 9/11, just jabbering on and on. He criticized the cargo containers not getting inspected (which could be a legitimate criticism)but it's SO LAME because of the obvious--we have NOT had a terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11!!!!!

He was also spouting about getting the rest of the world involved in the fight against terror---DUH, Pres. Bush gave everyone the opportunity to be part of this war, and actually, a LOT of nations joined. And just HOW is Dean going to get EVERYONE to join???? What an ass he is.

I don't think Hilary is an anomaly; I think she will be the biggest fryee of all! She's digging her hole, Pres. Bush is just letting her, collecting those clips (all he'll need to do is show her saying "I will NOT run for president" about 100 times in a row). . . it will be a frying of epic proportions. TEE HEE! I can't wait!
