The President today announced his next choice for Housing and Urban Development Secretary, Alphonso Jackson in the Roosevelt Room in the White House. Mr. Jackson is replacing Mel Martinez who resigned last week. Laura spent the morning at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, where she read to sick children, and watched the premiere showing of “BarneyCam II: Barney Reloaded” with them. Some goodies tonight, so enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya!!

"As wonderful as they both (Laura and George) look every time we see them, no matter what they're wearing I have two questions:

1. Do they ever have a bad hair day?

2. How do they keep their hands (mostly) off each other in public, and do they do anything besides have "quality" time when they're alone?"

Relative to your second question, I had to chuckle when I looked closely at the 'May' pix of GWB and Laura in the 2004 RNC Calendar. There's Laura caught in mid-pat (of the President's tush of course!)!

Like the rest of us with AWESOME marriages, I think the President and his First Lady have some incredible "quality time" moments together!

Dennis Kucinich got a very ugly letter from me last night, His Internet Ad is beyond exploitation, it's down right disgusting. For him to scroll through the names of our fallen heroes as he tries to place blame for their deaths on our Cammande-in-Chief by saying we were lied to, is beyond the pale and I unloaded on him last night like I've never done before to any politician in my life

Maybe I will--I did e-mail RNC about one. It's just so neat how much they obviously love each other. I know we've talked over and over about the great example they set for the country, but every time I see them together I think of it again. AND thank God for them. I LOVE seeing them together!

Don't let any of the DUmmies hear you say that--they'll be crabbing about how the smile wasn't "real" and doing that was a "risk" to the photographer because GW could have fallen over on the person taking the picture . . . and did she goose him unilaterally or get approval from all the others in the administration . . .
