These joints are all very close to each other. They're all in crappy areas with high crime rates where you wish you were wearing a Kevlar vest and I always close my windows to deflect bullets and keep my car doors locked. It's not a joke and there have been 52 murders in the city, most occuring in this vicinity. Most of them were (like 95%) drug related.

My question is: If these store owners are married, longtime residents, why aren't their wives and children here? Or are the relatives the "bookkeepers"?

Just took a little trip on the web via mapquest. It was 6 1/2 miles to visit 3 of the sites...19 minutes travel time. They're all very close to the Genesee River and the roads that go to the Port of Rochester. At least two of them are within walking distance. I can't imagine the need for two of these stores in the area.
