"Back when Indonesia was part of Australia." I thought Australia was never connected to Indonesia (Sundaland)?
Does anyone know anything about Sahulland?

"If her skull alone had been found, Lemdubu Woman would probably have been mistaken for a man, says Bulbeck. "The cranium is robust and of masculine appearance, with a large upper jaw containing large teeth."
She had long limbs and probably stood about 166 centimetres tall. But her limb bones were also thick. "She would seem to have been a very strong woman, notwithstanding her athletic linear build," he says.
Obviously, what they found buried in this cave is Janet Reno.

Question: How do you canoe for a long time, bushwhack for three hours and discover what is obviously a hidden cave?
So the temps warmed as much as 5deg per century. That global warming is pervasive isn't it? Must have been those fires used to cook wallaby.

Unless my math is off, she would have been a little more than 5' 5" tall. Hardly as unusually tall as the article would indicate.

Interesting info on her teeth.
I have read somewhat about early Americans and their teeth; types, differences, similarities, wear patterns.
My cousin grew a complete 3rd set of massive new strong bright white teeth in his late 20s; I could handle that primitive throwback genetic trait, no problemo.

And from the unusual holes in some of her bones, it is possible that cancerous growths contributed to her early demise. Losing a gunfight will do that to you as well. You sure this chick was that old?
