Thanks for that link to Alamo-Girl's files.
That's what I have in mind for the Hillary file that we could all reference and access when writing about her.

If only they'd let George Will have a go at her.No, actually both Georges were questioning her. I had it on in the other room so I didn't hear much but her cackle loud and clear. I don't think Mr. Will got in anything she wasn't expecting since everything sounded smooth, no, "ya know"s.

No one seems to get more undeserved respect on this forum than Hillary Clinton. It's like watching Duke basketball; their opponents are so convinced of Coach K's genius they're beaten before even taking the court. Instead of playing to their own strengths, Blue Devil opponents are trying to figure out how to adjust in order to beat Duke.
We attribute such sinister motives to the Clintons, as though they're evil geniuses. The fact is that they're politicians, nothing more, and their time is past. And I'm convinced their politican acumen has been overestimated since 1992. Just have confidence in our own folks' ability and it will turn out fine. There's no way Hillary is a legitimate threat in 2004.

I can't see her as a VP- she's too controlling and wants too much control. She'd completely overpower who'd ever pick her. Dean would be a fool if he picked her- and I don't think he would. A fool like Gephardt or Kerry would, though.

Surprisingly, Stephanopoulos and Will gave her a tougher grilling than Russert did. Well, at least Will did.

I'll admit it's difficult to see her as VP, but remember that it is primarily an appointed position, an easily attained position, her specialty. Knowing, I'm sure, that she knows Bush will be re-elected, her long-range plan to position herself for '08 would be running now as dem VP.
Dean is not likely to do it, but who would he choose? Graham and Edwards have been mentioned as possible VPs in order to get Southern votes, but I personally can't see Edwards bringing in even his own home state of NC. As for Graham, I've never understood how anyone could vote for him even as dogcatcher.

I've already saved backhoes link to my Hillary file and will save HAL900's as well.

You are so right. Hillary is viewed quite benignly. I just spoke to my Democrat brother, who admits that he doesn't "like" Hillary but
thinks she would make a great President because he says nice guys don't always make good presidents.
I have listened at my son's gymnastics class and at poolside in Hawaii as people who were reading her book discussed her. They feel for her and identify with her about "what her husband did to her." They think she is a great woman. I am not joking. There are a LOT of people out there who would vote for her.
Plus, Hillary has a secret. She KNOWS that the women's magazine and TV media have primed the pump for her. Women and girls, for the past 35 years, have been forcefed this cheerleading over women's achievements in industry and politics. Most uninformed women (and that means most women) have learned that the right answer is to want a woman President. Hillary's secret is that she knows she will get the votes of millions of women just by being a woman running for President. She will.
Don't kid yourselves. She is a formidable candidate, according to MANY. MANY.
Who thought she could WIN NEW YORK?
The only way to stop her would be serious proof of misdeeds. And she can spin all but a video of her shooting Vince. She is already chattering about the vast right wing conspiracy again. She's trying to cover everything in advance. She is very shrewd. Unelectable? When you spin right, no one is unelectable. We need to work very hard, should she become nominated at the convention, to produce clear facts that will awaken the unwashed masses to the real Hillary.

This is why we need a central location for all who want to access the Hillary files.
Alamo-Girl's files are beautifully catalogued and it's easy to find articles by category.

He did an absolutely stunning piece in Iran about the younger generation wanting freedom and peace; during a scene where they were walking down the street filming, a woman came out of nowhere and said, "Tell America to do for us what they have done for Afghanistan." Away from the left wing TV cameras, the corrupt M.E. dictators and their screaming Muslim fanatics of The West Bank, Fullujah, Tehran, Mecca and other hot spots, that's what you find.
It's human nature, it's the majority -- even there -- and the sooner most here know that, the better off we will be. I find it stunning that some -- even here at FR -- don't recognize this. Instead they believe the propaganda that all the world hates us, and hates freedom because the NY Times wants us to think that.
Freedom for Iran.
