Today President George W. Bush signed the adoption promotion act of 2003 in the Roosevelt Room of the White House, which is aimed at moving more older children out of foster care and into permanent homes. More than a dozen children attended the adoption bill signing with their adoptive parents.

Later in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, President Bush attended a campaign fundraiser.

Also today, President George W. Bush made remarks alongside the best drivers of the 2003 Nascar season and their cars on the South Lawn of the White House. Bush honored the best drivers of the 2003 season, including Matt Kenseth, who won the 2003 Winston Cup series.

I never had daughters, only sons. I plan someday, if I live long enough, to copy all my old photos and some of their daddy and uncles, too, and make a photocopied book of memories for all my grandchildren and children. I bought a scanner to do that with. I'd like to do a little genealogy as well. I know one of my sons is very interested in family history and the others would enjoy it. I can still remember some good stories about the kids and even their father, when they were young. He was an amateur photographer and developed his own pictures when the kids were little. I have tons of them of the first, less of the second and hardly any of the third. I was amazed when I realized how few pictures we have of him when he was young. And he was so gorgeous with all that white curly hair. Darn.

I did start my first scrapbook with pictures of my grandaughter, her dad and mom, when they came to visit us when she was two, about 8 years ago. I haven't seen her since. But I love that scrapbook. I took loads of pictures of her. I want to give it to her when she gets older.

Scrapbooking is NOT cheap. I spent $40 in a few minutes, with all the neat stickers and accessories you can get now. AC Moore has tons of stuff and sometimes it's on sale. The best scrapbooks I've gotten though are from Creative Memories. They aren't cheap either.

I hope my grandgirls have good memories of our doing things like that together. I think it's important to create memories and teach them things you know. I frame pictures as a hobby and the oldest girl, Rachel, is a great little artist for 11 years old. I matted and framed one of her flower pictures for my bathroom and it came out great. I told her to make the pictures small enough to fit inside the mat and then we'll do some matting and framing when she's here. She does great butterflies, too. Her dad is talented and draws a lot of cartoon characters. I have tons of mats and frames, so we should have fun! Love, Mxxx

*You don't honestly think that would make one bit of difference to her (Hillary) contingency do you? Half of them probably ARE lesbians or gays.*

Good point!

I'm glad you enjoyed the picture of the MHABGSITW. He definitely is a keeper -- as is the picture. ;)

LOL! You can COUNT on me protecting that poor doggy. I can't believe how he's being pushed aside.

Thanks much for the prayers...and for thinking of me.

DAY AFTER TOMORROW!!! WHOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I'm so excited I could...I could....I don't know. I'm just mighty excited. I'll hug him for you alright. I think I need to start a "Write your name here, for a hug for Logan" thread.

(I'd NEVER put him down, which is A-OK with me!)
