Today President George W. Bush signed the adoption promotion act of 2003 in the Roosevelt Room of the White House, which is aimed at moving more older children out of foster care and into permanent homes. More than a dozen children attended the adoption bill signing with their adoptive parents.

Later in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, President Bush attended a campaign fundraiser.

Also today, President George W. Bush made remarks alongside the best drivers of the 2003 Nascar season and their cars on the South Lawn of the White House. Bush honored the best drivers of the 2003 season, including Matt Kenseth, who won the 2003 Winston Cup series.

I watched the video and she was overcome when Dubya was talking to her. He gave her a great big hug.

I agree! He's not one to be underestimated and the loony libs do it every time. It's fun to watch! I love him, too.

We go to a great Italian (and cheap, too) restaurant in Norwich called Nina's. I usually take half of my pasta portion home and have it the next day at work. I love spaghetti and pasta the next day. It tastes sooo good. My mouth is watering now, See whatyou've done, MamaB?

Brad's Gramma: I was thinking about you. Hope you are all over your cold. Protect the shrinking dog! Wouldn't want him to get lost in the crowd.
Party with Logan, teach him all he needs to know about being a freeper. Although he has a good start now.
Have a good trip. Hugs for Logan from me.

I cried when I read what this woman had written. She is so eloquent. I copied it so I can send it to others and maybe put a BIG copy of it on my "Bush Door."

Mine, too! I sat here in my office bawling like a baby. What a wonderful, wonderful tribute to our President. Sniff.

You don't honestly think that would make one bit of difference to her contingency do you? Half of them probably ARE lesbians or gays. This is good news for them. If the country didn't worry about the rapist, why would they worry about her love affairs.

I do scrapbooking, too. It's such fun. I began a scrapbook session with my oldest granddaughter, Rachel, and bought material and a scrapbook for her sister. I hope this winter to be able to either go to their house or they come to mine for another session. I like having one a time because together they sure are, um, active! It's a great hobby.

NONE of us will ever forget it, Mary! ;o)

I actually got a 2004 Calendar from the Vets, and what should be on January's page, but our manly CinC on the flightdeck!

I don't think I'll change it to February when January is over.......

My daughter is almost 10 and getting into it. Husband and son are totally awed at what I do--there is NO creativity on his side of the family. And it's cheaper than therapy . . . well, maybe not cheaper than therapy but a lot more fun! :-) I just never get to do it as much as I want to.

That's really special that you do it with your granddaughters. You could even (together) do some pages of you with your daughter when she was younger--I bet they'd get a kick out of that!

***I heard it last night...I hope it's retroactive...***

Did they say anything about WHY the policy had been changed? I emailed the news shows after finding out about them having to pay for their tickets, and I know lots of others did too, but I didn't ever hear anything about the outrage on the news. Did you?
