In a demoralizing message to U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq, visiting New York Sen. Hillary Clinton told them that Americans back home are growing increasingly skeptical of President Bush's decision to send them into battle.
Describing two meetings with G.I.s over turkey dinners in Baghdad, Sen. Clinton told reporters later that soldiers wanted to know "how the people at home feel about what we are doing."
Clinton said she told the troops, "Americans are wholeheartedly proud of what you are doing but there are many questions at home about the (Bush) administration's policies."
She also suggested that the U.S. could eventually loose the war in Iraq, contending, "We have to exert all of our efforts militarily, but the outcome is not assured."
Despite her sour pronouncements, the former first lady insisted that the soldiers were just as glad to see her as they were President Bush, whose surprise visit less than 24-hours earlier was greeted with standing ovations.
"It's a positive for the commander-in-chief to visit troops in the field," Clinton told reporters, adding, "the troops [also] seemed to appreciate seeing myself."
Speaking from a secure location just over the Kuwaiti border, Mrs. Clinton launched one verbal salvo after another at the White House, arguing that Bush officials had been "obsessed" with getting Saddam Hussein and saying the perception blinded them to the difficulties of deposing his regime.
"The Pentagon tried to make do with as few troops as possible, as light a footprint as they could get away with," Clinton said. "Now, we're playing catchup . . . Unfortunately, I don't think they fully appreciated the conditions we would encounter."
The top Democrat also reprised her charge that the White House is being less than candid when it comes to apprising the American people of the costs of the war.
"The obstacles and problems here are much greater than the administration usually admits to," she said, adding, "Everybody has to be honest."

I've seen this among othe disgusting comments in various publications.
The former First Lady said the morale of the troops she met from the Army's 82nd Airborne Division was high, but they were concerned about how their mission was perceived back home. She said she told the troops "Americans are proud" of them, "but many question the administration's policies."

Jordan Student Describes His War Against US
By Vivienne Walt, Globe Correspondent, 11/26/2003
RAMADI, Iraq -- A middle-class university student from Jordan described how he has spent months launching attacks on American soldiers, after being smuggled across the Jordanian border during his summer recess and trained at a guerrilla camp in central Iraq...
..."There's no way for Al Qaeda to contact us, and we don't need Al Qaeda to bring us here," he told the Globe during a 90-minute interview on Monday, in a tiny village on the outskirts of Ramadi, about 70 miles west of Baghdad.

Here is a case where a Boston Globe correspondent interviews somebody who is doing his level best to kill our guys. The Boston Goble correspondent then apparently finnishes this interview and instead of helping to track this jihadist down, she simply publishes this interview.

Our troops are more mature then Hillary is.
As Rush, Sean, Steve always say:
"Let 'em rant, they will do themselves in!" -- (or close comments!)
GW kept quiet after after Florida 2000 and went about his business.
Our military has more class and honor then the Clintons and are true professionals.
Hillary is a grave digger.
Unfortunately she dug graves at Waco, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Iraq.
One more Hillary.
Enough said.

Clinton told reporters, adding, "the troops [also] seemed to appreciate seeing myself."I can see that. With her round face, plastered-on makeup, pasted-on smile and improbable silhouette, they might have mistaken her for a USO act: Cankles The Clown.

(The Milton referred to here is Joyce Milton)
From an article at
http://www.conservativenews.org/InDepth/archive/199905/IND19990507c.html
Another trait the Clinton's have in common, Milton found, is their ability to avoid the truth. "They both lie, even when they don't have to," Milton told CNS.
Milton referred to a much talked about incident in 1994 with the First Lady's personal White House Christmas tree was decorated with what many considered pornographic ornaments. Milton said the entire episode "ought to be the candidate for the 'my most embarrassing moments' section of Hillary Clinton's memoirs."
Mrs. Clinton directed her staff to ask art students for decorations on the theme of "The Twelve Days of Christmas." Milton said that in response the staff received a variety of sexually explicit ornaments which the staff hung on the tree anyway. Among the items hung on the tree, according to Milton, were a "mobile of 'twelve lords a-leaping,' each in full erection; a variety of ornaments fashioned from crack pipes and condoms - Mortified volunteers broke some of the more embarrassing items rather than hang them."
In the course of writing her book, Milton asked the First Lady's staff about the incident, which they denied. Milton was surprised by the denial.
"It happened, people saw it and have pictures of it. Gary Aldrich [then a secret service agent] saw the tree and used his pictures in his book," Milton told CNS. "I understand the staff even joked about it when they had a going away party for Hillary's Social Secretary Ann Stock. But when I asked Ann Stock about the incident, she said it never happened and the story was a total fantasy. I find that really ridiculous, the denial of it is indicative of something and you really have to wonder what is going here. Why lie about so many things?"

Well, I doubt the senate will do anything - they'll be their usual spineless selves and say something like, "We don't want to chill the free speech rights of our fellow senators blah blah blah..." or something equally inane and pathetic...I think you're right, Chad. I think that's exactly what most of them will do.

I get the "auto-responder" messages from Klintoon's email. That is not a response.
When I sent e-mail to my Senators in Colorado, I always received a real letter in the mail. Many times, it was personal and actually signed. One time, Ben Campbell wrote a personal letter, going in to great detail, his same concerns about the Grand Junction Airport service....stating what he's been upset with and what's he's been trying to do to fix the problem....it was not a mass-mailing letter....it was a specific response to me, personally and, again, signed in ink.

Hey, up here in the Hudson Valley, VERY few of the adults I know voted for her.
Don't blame us, we gave money to Lazio!
And I still have the Go Home Hillary bumper sticker on my car. I refuse to remove it.
To: thesummerwind
A US Senator goes into a war zone to demoralize the troops in the face of the ememy? You want to disagree and argue about the war here, fine. But in the war-zone with the troops on the front-lines? Treason.
I'm sure her statements gave aid and comfort to the terrorists that are killing our troops over there, also encouragement to continue the terror campaign. Senator Hillary is a traitor.
To: manic4organic
She's just a bitter old hag. She didn't have anyone to spend Thanksgiving with, like President Bush had waiting for him in Crawford.

clintonTREASONbumpThe question is no longer,
"What the hell is this moribund loser doing in the political arena, anyway?"
The question is,
"Why the hell are this moribund loser and her co-rapist husband still unconfined,
free to take their seditious, self-serving junkets... and at taxpayer expense, no less?"
The clinton are traitors.
They are a clear and present danger.
Our goal must be revised.
Disempowerment without confinement
(or worse (or better, depending on your perspective)) is obviously insufficient.
The question is no longer simply,
"Who in his right mind would ever want the clintons back in the Oval Office?"
The question is,
"Who in his right mind would allow the clintons the freedom to gallivant seditiously round the globe?"
"Who in his right mind would allow the treasonous clintons the freedom to cheat on and imperil America?"

I think she's there trying to position herself as someone who could be accepted as Commander in Chief, because it is such a freaking REACH to think of her that way.I think she's over there trying to position herself as someone who could be accepted as Commander in Chief -- for the global socialist crowd.
