Except for the hair, eyes, narrow face, the ears and the nose it's a frightenly close resemblance. No need to be a smart ass. It looks a lot like him. Obviously I'm not the only one who thought so.

Luckily Lovelady knew who he was.
And the people who were standing next to him, Bill and Sarah.
I hope you can help me pass this information along. There are still a few Freepers that continue to repeat this story.
TIA.

You had better add one more name to that list. The killers are not on that list.

Judging by PBS and ABC airing almost the exact program simultaneously last night, I must conclude that a still living Democrat did it. Both went to great lengths to "prove" Oswald acted alone, virtually spur of the moment.

Your reply is possibly the stupidest thing I have ever read.
It's obvious you haven't looked into this matter AT ALL!
To: willyboyishere; At _War_With_Liberals
I agree with At _War_With_Liberals.
Not saying the Oswald made the correct decision, but that was probably his motivation.

Thanks. It's hard to believe that someone would call me stupid for believing that Oswald did it.

Who knows? Look at what you have. Kennedy tries to invade Cuba via Bay of Pigs, humiliates Krushchev via Cuban Missile Crisis and you have one of the assasins, Oswald, having spent time in the Soviet Union with a Russian wife. It's obvious to me. The details, logistics and connections are a different matter. We'll never know how it was done.

LBJ IS NOW IN 2nd PLACE! 25% - Oswald
22% - LBJ
21% - CIA
Cast a vote if you haven't yet and help ol' Landslide Lyndy squeak out another win!
To: plain talk
You are accepting the Kennedy myth-makers' "spin" that the Cuban Missile Crisis was a humiliating "loss" for the Soviet Union. It was emphatically NOT. They got our missiles out of Turkey (look at the map and see how strategically important that was to them).
As well, they got a GUARANTEE from Kennedy that we would cease efforts to topple the Communist Castro government in Cuba. Pretty good chess move on Nikita's part, I would say.
Also, I seriously doubt that the KGB would have used an assassin with such clear and obvious ties to the USSR for an act that could easily end with their cities in smoking ruins- IF the American people really thought that they had murdered our President.
I think that, of all the possibilities, a Soviet-backed political assassination is the least probable.
It is not impossible that Oswald was simply a nutjob who managed to pull off the crime of the century- but I still like LBJ as the prime mover in this. Probably because I hated the SOB.

On the assuption that Hoover would decide Oswald was a Soviet agent and commit resources to discovering his mission.
As Oswald had no mission the FBI would fail. As Hoover was paranoid, this would only result in committment of further resources.
Oswald grew bored and wrote a mission for himself.
now both the Soviets and LBJ have a motive to cover up any connection between Oswald and Soviet Intelligence.

Plausible. As I said elsewhere, though, I don't think we will EVER know the truth. There is really no incentive for anyone who might know what really happened to come forward at this late date.
