Just want to let everyone know how much all your thoughts and prayers meant to me. Thank you all so very much.
Ryan had his tests. One of the tests was an eeg. My daughter didn't want him sedated so in order to do the test she had to have him sleep deprived. He went in for a nap at 2:30 pm and got up at 5:30. She then had to keep him up til 2:00 am. They went for a walk at midnight so the air could help him stay awake. Since his favorite thing in the world is to paint, when they came home he was tired. She said "but Ry, I bought you a surprise ... a new paint set and he did that til 2:00 am. He was completely exhausted. She then had to get him up at 5:00 am for the hour's ride to the hospital. Half way there, she could see he was starting to close his eyes. She said "Ry", you can't go to sleep we have to make plans for your Birthday party (in a few weeks). He immediately started telling her who he wanted to invite, and all the stuff about ice cream and cake, etc. They arrived at the hospital with Ryan awake. (whew)!
The nurses got Ryan prepared for the tests and he asked if the electrodes were going to hurt his head. The nurse said you put one on and take it off, it won't hurt. He did so, and he said "nope, didn't hurt, go ahead. Mommy gave him a blanket and told him he could get as snug as a bug in a rug. He laid down on the table at 8:15 am and was asleep by 8:20am. The nurse said he was so good she'd like to take him home.
We won't know the results til next week when the Doctor returns from vacation. But I will post to let you all know what the results are.
God has blessed us with Ryan, and brought him through heart surgery and a stroke. I'm praying medicine can help him now. And accept that it truly is in God's hands.
Thank you, Freepers, for always being there.
God bless you and Ryan and all who love him.
I'm glad little Ry's tests are over.
I will pray unto the Lord for good results.
How touching is the story of what your little "Ry" and his mommy went through. And what a trooper "Ry" is!! God love and bless them both SB. There is NOTHING that touches us as deeply as that of a child in need.
We continue our prayers for little Ryan, and you and your entire family.
We pray that his tests will be positive and helpful and that he will once again continue to gain strength and heal fully.
Go Ryan Go!!
