Some Relevant Facts About the JFK Assassination

There's an explosive new book that lays out a very detailed and persuasive case for the probability that the late President Lyndon Baines Johnson was responsible for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
I say persuasive because the author, Barr McClellan, was one of LBJ's top lawyers, and he provides a lot of information hitherto unknown to the general public much more of which he says is buried in secret documents long withheld from the American people.
"The American public has waited forty years to hear the truth about the JFK assassination," McClellan says. "For government agencies to withhold critical evidence and not cooperate with the [1998 investigation conducted by the Assassination Records Review Board (ARRB)] is a form of obstruction of justice. Under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act, the public should be granted access to these documents."
According to McClellan and Doug Horne, a former ARRB investigator, hundreds of relevant documents were withheld from the 1998 investigation into the JFK assassination. They believe that these materials are now in the possession of the National Archives, relocated from sealed files previously controlled by the CIA and FBI.
McClellan also asked for a formal review of the evidence in his book, "Blood, Money & Power: How L.B.J. Killed J.F.K.," which establishes a direct connection between LBJ and an individual involved with the assassination and cover-up.
"At this time we need to see what else is missing and what else would be helpful to presenting the entire truth," McClellan continued. "The Senate Judiciary Committee and the Department of Justice could make the request of the National Archives and should do so."
Now, in normal circumstance I would tend to view this latest explanation of who was behind the killing of JFK as exactly that just another theory among dozens. But the circumstances are not normal. Poll after poll establishes that an overwhelming majority of Americans believe that the official verdict of the Warren Commission is simply not borne out by what little is known publicly about the case.
McClellan's new book adds to those facts and names a second suspect he says was a longtime assassin for Lyndon Johnson, whom he portrays as ... well, as being homicidal whenever he or his many concealed interests were threatened.
Add to that the incredible inconsistencies in the FBI and Secret Service investigations, which reek with the stench of cover-up, and one can't escape the conclusion that if LBJ did nothing else in dealing with the aftermath of the assassination, he sure as hell clamped a lid on any evidence that contradicted the official finding that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone gunman acting solely on his own initiative.
I report all of this as a prelude to revealing what I know about the matter but have never before written about in the beginning, because I had a wife and seven children to protect, and since, because I had no reason to revisit the matter.

Last night on the History Channel they had an expert from England shoot a watermelon from a Lincoln moving at 10 mph. He hit the target. He als hit the target using a laser. Now, this guy was truly an expert. He shot three clay pigeons shooting from the hip. He was good! The problem? The rifle misfired 23 % of the time. And Oswald barely qualified in the Corps.
Did you know there was a cop who had been hired by the Dallas PD one month prior to the assassination and never filled out an application. He served with Oswald in the Corps. This info came from the man's son and was published a few years ago in Texas Monthly.
As for the shot coming from a storm drain, the show last night convinced me it wasn't possible.

Seems I remember that the "pristine" bullit found on Connally's stretcher has never been absolutely tied to the rifle. I think I read the rifle has never been test fired to check the ballistics against the "pristine" round.

There are a lot of other posters on this thread disputing what you wrote. I will leave it to them to respond.
Myself, I haven't fired a rifle in more than 25 years and am obviously unqualified to answer.

Why do you equate agreement with the Report as 'acquitting' oneself well? Is agreement some sort of test for political correctness?

Untrue. The shooting was recreated using the exact same scenario and equipment.
Show us a link.
~None~ of the re-creations have ever duplicated the sequence of shots as per the WR's single shooter, single bullet theory.

I've yet to see anyone mention the fact that LBJ said in an interview with CBS shortly after that he beleived it was a conspiracy. He then called his old buddy Paley at CBS and the interview tape was destroyed.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your post. Are you asking what their testimony was, or just reinforcing the point I was making?

I don't know what the bottom-line truth is about the assassination. I do know that both Kennedy and his VP, Johnson, were scum. Kennedy put himself in the position of either being blackmailed or murdered due to his affiliation with the mob, his whoring around, and his cowardice in breaking his word and letting the Bay of Pigs occur. He even banged the girlfriend of a big mob boss (Carlos Gambino, if memory serves).
He was a third-rate president who gave a few good speeches. Much of this was known at the time, but the media kept it from the public. Yet the same media turned him into our nation's secular saint after his death. Camelot, my arse! Academia has taught subsequent generations of school kids that Kennedy was a great president. To all of which I say, phooey!
One reason the assassination as a crime is so open to all sorts of conspiracy theories is that the line of those who wanted JFK dead was such a long one. Consequently, there are several plausible scenarios as to motive.
However, the Zapruder film showed both at the time, and for all time since, that the fatal shot came from the rear and exploded the upper right front of the president's skull. As I've already pointed out, the difference in behavior between that round and the other two known rounds may be suggestive of two shooters. Perhaps there's a plausible explanation, but I would need a ballististics expert to explain how the same type of ammunition could behave so differently. But as to the direction of the fatal shot, there is absolutely NO DOUBT whatsoever that it came from the rear. None. And I'll repeat: anyone who has seen the Zapruder film in slow motion and still claims the fatal shot came from the front is a charlatan.

The book the "Texas COnnection" also very convincingly lays out the LBJ assinaion thesis. LBJ was an arch-criminal who got on JFK's ticket almost by accident. Not too surprisingly mainstream biographers of LBJ gloss over his 40 year record of vote fraud and corruption. The facts of LBJ's career, however, are starting to come to light as the fear of reqrisal has faded over time.

I think ABC is going to have a special on tonight using modern advanced techniques to analyze the assassination. Tune in and you will see the Zapruder film for yourself.

I think shooter answered the queries tossed at him comprehensively.
He is absolutely correct about a few things...the bullet/gun tie in and the fact that the shots were replicated by several experts and it is feasible that Oswald could have made them.
Now as for all the other wierd stuff like Oswald's travels and perhaps he was goaded by others...that I don't think anyone can verify one way or the other and of course all of that is very suspicious but ballistically speaking, it is more than plausible in my view that Oswald was the shooter.

Yes, there were echoes. Zapruder said the entire area reverberated but he couldn't tell where the shots came from.

I think you should try to pinpoint the car at the third shot in relation to the street and the sixth floor corner. I think that should answer your question.
You can forget about a forward shot. Why quibble about five degrees and then turn it around and try for more than a ninety degree angle that doesn't fit.
