The official RCC position (which much of the hierarchy whispers in a well, rather than shout from the rooftops as they ought to -- that is if they don't deny it altogether as in these PINOs and BINOs in FL) is that what Michael is doing to Terri counts as "murder." That would disqualify the marriage from being recognized by the RCC. If a local RCC congregation undertakes to marry them, there would be some serious repercussions (although, I figure, it would take about 10 years) from Rome.
