I decided just to go ahead and ping to some of the regulars rather than post a new thread. Let's see if we can SPREAD THE WORD....I had a idea the other day of sending up green balloons with "Happy BIRTHDAY TERRI SCHIAVO" ,on her birthday.Well it has been decided we can do it individually at our homes all across America and be fine. Here is what just came in from Florida

"Terri's Hope Balloon Send"

Will take place on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday Nov. 27th at 1 PM EST. Green Balloons will be sent UP, across America and other Countries to show We The People are in "Support of Terri's LIFE and TERRI'S BILL!"

Let's all get some helium green balloons and let them off, tell your friends, neighbors. We can pull this off......we will be letting 40 balloons from our home on Thanksgiving here in Los Angeles. Our balloons will say "Happy Birthday Terri Schiavo Schindler"Even if you can only afford one balloon, it is better than none....ALSO I am going to check with the CITY of LOS ANGELES tomorrow just to be double sure this can be done! Take pictures of your balloons being sent up and post to the site and local newpapers....I am sure to some this is going to seem extreme, but we have all pent up so much emotion, I think it would be good just to do something fun " together"..... I have a guardianship question. According to 2003 law, MS would have needed a court order before taking Terri to California for any experimental biomedical or behavorial procedure (I'm assuming the electrodes applies.) Was this law the same in 1990-1993, and if so, did he get one?

744.3215(4)(b) Rights of persons determined incapacitated.--

(4) Without first obtaining specific authority from the court, as described in s. 744.3725, a guardian may not:

(b)Consent on behalf of the ward to the performance on the ward of any experimental biomedical or behavioral procedure or to the participation by the ward in any biomedical or behavioral experiment. The court may permit such performance or participation only if: 1. It is of direct benefit to, and is intended to preserve the life of or prevent serious impairment to the mental or physical health of the ward; or 2. It is intended to assist the ward to develop or regain his or her abilities.

I certainly don't want to argue with the Schindlers but their account

don't agree with the police report

She was found with her head facing east out into a hallway and her feet and legs pointing west on the bathroom floor.

You would need to review the original statements of all concerned before you could argue about the placement of the body. Even the police report I read was not the original. It stated that the inititial report was on microfilm but was barely readable, so they gave a new report from memory and/or notes.

I don't have a problem believing the Schindlers...with minor changes (depending on the reporting) their story is very consistent. Michael can't seem to remember what story he told last and keeps changing. What troubles me is that even the official records aren't original.

You would have to see what the guardianship law was at that time.

Yes, you'd have to see what law was in place at the time; I don't have time to check the history (at the bottom of that law)......but it may lead to when/if the law in question is new or changed, and its effective date. If this law was in place, then I would have to assume it controlled the actions of MS and the Schindlers; if so, then one would have to assume there was a Motion put before a judge requesting this treatment in, perhaps, yet another case.

This is the best definition of a sociopath that I've seen so far. I'd like to see if there is a link on the internet on this, as the DSM IV has gotten a little too politically correct.
