Wouldn't it be a blessing if the President himself called in? :) "Welcome back, el Rushbo!" Can you imagine? (gorgiboy's wife)

I have to be honest with you-- I don't who Marta is, where Marta is, or what Marta's lifestyle is....I've never seen her before.

From Rush himself. I recall him stating he was looking into Catholicism at one time --- but he's said many times he didn't belong to any one religion or attend church.

Has Rush mentioned Marta yet??? Seems like he has thanked everyone else, and made some comments about not living to make others happy. Wonder if Marta's part of the problem?
Rush sounds great.

Do you think the media would cover it? :)

Perhaps Crawdad noticed (like others) that Rush is speaking from the heart and it appears that he has experienced a spiritual change.Mo, I agree with you, he does sound like he has experienced a spiritual change, humility is such a huge part of a recovery program. God willing, Rush will continue to live one day at a time and will continue to live a sober life.
God bless you Rush, it's great to have you back

How lucky must your kids be to have you as their home-schooling Mom?!
Did you know that quote ("We are the music makers...") is in the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? That's a great educational movie for literate kids - not to mention its allegorical theme related to going home to our Heavenly Father.

Endless "recovery" means never having to repent, which is the biblical way to deal with sin.Not really true. If you're truly in recovery and not just making the noise, you have repented (lit. "turned around from") your addiction. You're just getting some help and some accountability in dealing with your particular sin--and there's nothing non-Biblical about that.
"Recovery" and "repentance" are polar opposites. One recovers from a disease (which doesn't require one to take personal responsibility for sin), but one repents of one's sin (which is the essence of taking personal responsibility).
No one wants to take personal responsibility any more, which is why we all say "alcoholism" (a disease that sort of happens to us) rather than drunkenness (a sin we choose) and receive "treatment" rather than church discipline.
Many Americans prefer the shift in language and responsibility, but they're still unbiblical and they still reflect the success of the efforts of a God-hating atheist (Freud) to replace Christian pastors with "secular priests."
BTW, I do recognize that chemical dependencies of some kind exist just as predispositions to some sins are linked to genes. I also recognize that being born in the ghetto to a single mother on welfare can increase the odds of one becoming a criminal.
But none of these things removes personal responsibility, which is why the Bible calls all to "repent" rather than "recover" .

Has Teddy ever apologized for anything???There is a family with the surname Kopechne and one less daughter still waiting for one.

There's an awful lot of truth here, too. That brings me back here.

My sister and I had this conversation once. She said she doesn't believe she exists. (This was a few years back, before all this)
I did some research and did dig up a picture or two of Rush and her. She looked like an average woman, if I recall. Not particularly atractive in any respect.
