Al Qaida commander 'anticipates' 100,000 Americans dead in attack

Special to World Tribune.com MIDDLE EAST MEDIA RESEARCH INSTITUTE Thursday, November 13, 2003 Al-Qal'a (The Fortress) an Islamist Internet forum, posted the first of a two-part interview with a person who introduced himself as Abu Salma Al-Hijazi, one of the Al Qaida commanders closest to Osama bin Laden.(1) The interview was conducted in Iraq, south of Faluja. The article notes that Al-Hijazi was surrounded by five masked men carrying missiles as well as personal weapons. The following are excerpts from the interview:

In regard to rumors about a large-scale attack against the U.S. during the month of Ramadan, Al-Hijazi said that "a huge and very courageous strike" will take place and that the number of infidels expected to be killed in this attack, according to primary estimates, exceeds 100,000. He added that he "anticipates, but will not swear, that the attack will happen during Ramadan."

He further stated that the attack will be carried out in a way that will "amaze the world and turn Al Qaida into [an organization that] horrifies the world until the law of Allah is implemented, actually implemented, and not just in words, on His land... You wait and see that the balance of power between Al Qaida and its rivals will change, all of a sudden, Allah willing."

Regarding Al Qaida detainees, Al-Hijazi said: "We follow their situation closely... the collaborating governments will pay the price for capturing these heroes who want to revive the glory of their nation and shake off the dust of humiliation and disgrace."

Al-Hijazi added that the "collaborating and treacherous" governments should know that Al Qaida has a long reach and its members enjoy popularity that will not end just because apostate governments detain hundreds of Al Qaida's members. "As soon as the governments detain one of our people, ten like him join us... this is no secret."

Al-Hijazi said that Al Qaida instructed its members not to confront the governments of Islamic countries and clarified that Americans are the main target of the organization, wherever they may be, in order to cause their disintegration and collapse, even if it takes a long time. "We are patient," he added, "our patience will only end with the collapse of America and its agents."

Al-Hijazi also said: "There is no doubt that the demise of America and its collapse will lead to the collapse of these fragile regimes that depend on it... We will not stop until we establish the Islamic Caliphate and until Allah's law is implemented in His land."

When asked about the recent bombing in Riyadh, Al-Hijazi referred to Saudi media reports — which claimed that in the attack Muslim women and children were killed — as "merely media deceit." He added: "This place was under surveillance for many months. Following a thorough investigation, it became perfectly clear to us that the people living there were at least 300 Americans and a large group of Lebanese Christians who had tortured Muslims there, in Lebanon, during the civil war. After consultation, we decided it was appropriate to attack this place and destroy it, including the people who lived there, because it housed Americans and a large majority of Christians holding Lebanese citizenship.

"Since the Saudi government is aware of the sensitivity of this place and that it is a declared target for Al Qaida, it surrounded it with very heavy security. However, we gave our people in Riyadh a green light to destroy it on top of those inside. Allah facilitated breaking into the place and bombing the part in which mostly Americans stayed. As a result, praise Allah, at least 40 Americans were killed, as well as 27 Christians from Lebanon, and a group of citizens who were Muslim; also, at least 70 Americans were injured, as well as more than 30 citizens of other countries, most of them Christians from Lebanon."

According to Al-Hijazi, a Saudi religious scholar who is wanted by Saudi authorities will claim responsibility in a televised communiqué for the bombing "and for other operations to come." He added that the wills of the attackers will be published, apparently, in the month of Shawwal — the month following Ramadan according to the Muslim calendar - when Al Qaida's main website, Al-Nida, is due to be reactivated.

Quix, I was recently in Istanbul. Went to four mosques. Mostly empty, except for the tourists.

Within my network, I've heard of multiple nuke scares over the last 30 years.

I don't recall of any ever being reported until well after the fact and those only leaking out in obscure ways and obscure arenas.

I don't know of a single one wherein a device was actually located and disarmed. There may have been. I just don't recall them.

I am fairly certain that there's a high degree of aversion to triggering a panic--and perhaps some paranoia on the part of government types as to what might trigger a panic.

I would not expect disclosure any time soon. They might depending on events and publicity about the whole warning thing etc. But I wouldn't automatically expect it.

I suppose it's different Friday evening. Is it different any other time?

Istanbul felt like--ACTUALLY FELT in my inner person like 3 continents, cultures, ideologies grinding together not too comfortably. You ever had such feelings there?

If even one tenth comes true we should nuke Mecca and Medina and demolish this cult. Send cruise missiles into every mutant mosque and madrassa.

HERE'S SOME INTERESTING EXCERPTS FROM THE LATEST KEATING REPORT:

2. Ask Kathleen

Q. C'mon... this Chinese troop "rumor" has been put to bed I don't know how many times. Take a trip to Mexico and try and find one. There aren't any. Do you have any credible sources for this at all?

A. A "rumor" has left one Border Patrol agent dead, other agents wounded and still another testified he was fired on by Chinese soldiers who penetrated our Southern border. The "rumor" also included spent Chinese shell casings and documented eyewitness testimony confirming the "rumor" is building up a sizable army and munitions. Washington has put a clamp on the Border Patrol agents and the orders are clear evidence that this growing Chinese military presence is anything but urban legend.

Scott Gulbransen's book, The Silent Invasion, will be out in a couple of weeks giving us a much clearer picture of the Chinese presence.

Got a question for Kathleen? Email it to us at:

A recent article published by WorldNetDaily.com suggested that an imminent attack by Al Qaeda could occur within 10 days. Other sources are saying the same thing. Curiously, our security threat level has been reduced. That doesn't make sense, but not much does.

Perhaps the government doesn't view the latest revelations as serious threats, including the latest Al Qaeda release that all of their people are now in position for their attack and await orders from their leader.

The security risk level has come under some controversy,
particularly because there isn't enough information accompanying specific events. Still, there is a questionable disparity.

While the government insists there are Al Qaeda connections to Iraq, Saddam claims to have no interest in killing American citizens, even though he tried to kill former president Bush. Al Qaeda on the other hand wants to destroy any and all Americans.

The next few days will be interesting, especially if the
government doesn't raise the security threat level.

There were other developments at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, the nation's largest arsenal of intercontinental nuclear missiles.

Forty four employees of a US Army Corps of Engineers
subcontractor were arrested on Wednesday. Thirty seven of the employees were illegal immigrants. The INS apparently is trying to figure out if the aliens were working in a sensitive area. The fact that these people were working at a sensitive Air Force Base proves two things: the INS does not have a handle on the situation and it proves our national security is weaker than most of us care to believe.

[QX: NO JOKE!!! Though I think Freepers are more aware of that than the average citizen by far.]

Growing evidence seems to suggest that another attack is likely. Whether or not it will be the "train of death," remains to be seen. As the Department of Homeland Security assumes its new role, it will be important to see how much security oversights are addressed.

I'm still sticking to the belief that 2003 will be rough.

Once upon a time, I was a student of math and logic. This was the natural course for me, personaly, as I craved a true understanding of the Logos.

Indeed, I have done a bit of homework, and, I have also had to live through a few hard times. Most of those crosses have been carried, and now it seems that my burden is light.

Still, I have my roots, and my nature, which is not to be lightly dismissed. I pay attention to a lot of things. I have little tolerance for bullshit artists. I have no tolerance for racists, including (most especially) anti-Semites. I will not be silent on these issues.

Am not surprised you've studied math etc.

I share some of your aversions, though perhaps not ROUTINELY quite as intensely.

It was nice communing with you. I am pretty easy to find. You have My FReepmail, you can go from there.

Consider this a voice crying in the wilderness.

I really have come to like you, but I will not bend my knee.

Understand?

There is no "Allah", and you will languish in Hell for the evil you commit in the name of this non-existant diety you profess to serve.

In any case you don't frighten us half as much as we are frightened for the calamity awaiting your depraved souls.

Repent while there is still time.

Istanbul is a fascinating city. The worst traffic I have ever seen. Worse than Shanghai (or Houston!) Istanbul sits astride two continents, Europe and Asia. I saw influences from both cultures. Don't know about the "third culture" you mentioned.....unless you meant the "Black Muslims". They are a heavy presence and our Turkish host advised us to avoid them. Istanbul has so many layers. It is hard for a westerner to comprehend. One thing I found fascinating was that many of the mosques were originally Christian churches. I didn't know that until I went there.
On some of the gates to the mosques, you can see carvings of the Holy Mother and Christ. I could start a whole thread on Turkish cuisine......what a treat!

Our two trips to Turkey have been business related, our contacts have been gracious and welcoming....we could not have been treated more kindly.

It has been a weird world for a while now, but I'm amazed by everyone's power to keep the head in the sand. To think that Mecca got flooded two days ago and then LA taking a precision hit last night. I know many will argue that only a loon would contemplate such observations, but its hubris to think that there has to be a logical explanation for everything. Carpe diem and enjoy the ride.

On the ever-popular subject of striking back at Mecca, consider the following Islamic prophesies:

The Final Signs of Qiyaamah (the end of the world):

1. THE CAVING IN OF THE GROUND

The ground will cave in: one in the east, one in the west, and one in Hejaz, Saudi Arabia. Damn right.

2. THE FORTY DAY SMOKE/FOG

Fog or smoke will cover the skies for forty days. The non-believers will fall unconscious, while Muslims will be ill (develop colds). The skies will then clear up. Fallout?

3. THE NIGHT OF THREE NIGHTS

A night three nights long will follow the fog. It will occur in the month of Zil-Hajj after Eidul-Adha, and cause much restlessness among the people. Nuclear winter?

4. THE RISING OF THE SUN IN THE WEST

After the night of three nights, the following morning the sun will rise in the west. People’s repentance will not be accepted after this incident. The West will definitely rise again after this blasphemy.

5. THE BEAST FROM THE EARTH APPEARS

One day later, the Beast from the earth will miraculously emerge from Mount Safaa in Makkah, causing a split in the ground. The beast will be able to talk to people and mark the faces of people, making the believers’ faces glitter, and the non-believers’ faces darkened. The Dajjal? Antichrist?

6. THE BREEZE FROM THE SOUTH

A breeze from the south causes sores in the armpits of Muslims, which they will die of as a result. Change of wind's a b*tch, isn't it?

7. DESTRUCTION OF THE KA’ABA

The Ka’aba will be destroyed by non-Muslim African group. Or whoever gets there first. Kufr will be rampant. That's an understatement. Haj will be discontinued. Permanently. The Qur’an will be lifted from the heart of the people, 30 years after the ruler Muquad’s death. So who died 30 years ago?

8. FINAL SIGN OF QIYAAMAH: FIRE IN YEMEN Definitely.

The fire will follow people to Syria, after which it will stop. That's about as far as it needs to go.

9. COMMENCEMENT OF QIYAAMAH

Some years after the fire, Qiyaamah begins with the Soor (trumpet) being blown. The year is not known to any person. Qiyaamah will come upon the worst of creation.Hear that, Daleel? Not a good time to be among the worst of creation.

There aren't any/many events where you find 100,000 'infidels' gathered in one place...except a city.

I hesitate to mention this, but many football stadiums seat more than 70,000 fans. Scary when you think about it.
