Thank you for sharing this information with us. As a aunt, who has a nephew in Bagdad right now, I can only imagine how this family is feeling right now. I will send a card right away to the family. I live in Los Angeles or I would attend the ceremony.
God be with this family right now.

It is French made rockets that are killing our sons in Iraq.
God has a special place in heaven for men who make the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.
May God grant Robert T. Benson peace.

So senseless that some of the brightest and most promising members of the next generation -- like this young fellow -- are dying in vain halfway around the world for nothing. Mankind continues to stumble through the cosmos and repeat the same mistakes, century after century.

I believe George Nethercutt thinks that this loss isn't as important as the "good news" out of Iraq. Perhaps Rep. Nethercutt would like to speak at this funeral, to tell us all that good news.

Please do not use this post to make political comments. It is a memorial post. Take the politics elsewhere.

I would have fought you to the death if you had made this comment about my Dad who served in Vietnam and I find your comment highly offensive on a memorial posting. The worst thing you can say to someone who has lost a loved one is that the person's death served no purpose.

Mankind continues to stumble through the cosmos and repeat the same mistakes, century after century.Indeed. When will mankind realize that freedom works and is worth fighting and dying for?

One year younger than my son...he looks like a good young man...may God bless him and keep him in his loving arms always.
Lord, bring peace to his family.

I grieve at the news of every American casualty in that insane asylum known as the Mideast, and I have to ask why.
