Cross-dressing teens from Harvey Milk High School offered sex for money in Greenwich Village and then robbed the would-be johns ? by pretending to be cops, sources said last night.
The boys, all passing themselves off as ladies of the evening, took money and credit cards from at least six men, sources said.
Five youths were arrested yesterday in the scam, which cops say went like this:
The students from the Astor Place high school for gays and lesbians promised men cruising the Village various sex acts for money.
Once the men stopped, the students flashed fake NYPD badges and handcuffs and told the johns they were undercover vice cops.
In one case, the youths brandished a gun.
The teens pushed the men against walls, handcuffed them and took their money, credit cards and bank cards. They also demanded the personal identification numbers for the bank and credit cards.
Once they had the valuables, the teens typically would say, "Oh, you're not such a bad guy," and let the men go, a source said.
The robberies began Oct. 5, when a 24-year-old man was hustled on Greenwich Ave. by a pair of teens in drag who withdrew $1,200 from his account, sources said. The last robbery took place early yesterday, when three teens stole $85 from a man on W. 16th St.
The arrests were made after Detective Andrew Rindler spotted one of the teens, whose face had been captured by a bank surveillance camera.
Gerald (Kimberly) Howard, 17, was wearing a red wig with blond highlights and a bright red sweatshirt and had handcuffs and a police scanner with him when he was busted, sources said.
Howard began to blab, sources said, and by last night, cops had arrested four more Harvey Milk students ? Kevin (Keva) Williams, 17, of Queens; Brian (Whoopie) Gonzalez, 17, of Manhattan; Keenan (Channel) Oliver, 16, of Brooklyn, and Kelvin (Keesha) Howell, 17, of the Bronx.
The teens are being held on charges of robbery and criminal impersonation of a police officer, sources said. Cops said they believe the teens may have been involved in more robberies and urged anyone with information to call a hotline: (212) 741-8401.
nice.
Although I applaud his bold choice of a red wig with blond highlights, he really should have worn black or ivory. The red sweatshirt was probably too harsh for his coloring.
.........And what self respecting bisexual crossdressing teenage mugger uses the alias of WHOOPIE!!
If the sickos weed each other out it makes a better world for the rest of us.
Shalom.
What we have here, obviously, is another attempt by the VRWC to try to besmirch the wonderful queers of Harvey Milk High School who are only trying to make the world a better place for the rest of us.
Shalom.
Now they can go into another school just for them: reform school (or, even better, the Attica Academy for the Morally Challenged).
A rhetorical question, I'm sure! :-) Hey, ER, thanks for the ping. Here's one of my own.

LOL!
I like it. Not too long ago such a phrase would never be uttered because incidents such as high school kids cross dressing to commit crimes never happened.
Hmmm, I think a shimering wheat knit top with burgandy sweater would bring out his color.
They were impersonating older people.
Maybe they'll get a gang together and entice horny adult men into doing calculus instead...
Nah, they would 'cruise' on over to Washington Square Park and hustle the chess hustlers! ;-)
You know that the GLSEN folks will spin this into yet another persecuted homosexual student sob story.
Have you seen some of the stuff GLSEN has posted recently on their web site (e.g. "GLSEN Hails Historic Supreme Court Ruling in Lawrence v. Texas" and "GLSEN Announces Release of New Educational Resources to Aid Educators with Classroom Discussions on Same-Sex Marriage Debate")?
