The Facts About The Smoking Ban. If you're a business owner or not, this is a must read!

Businesses Harmed by Smoking Bans

Anti-smoking organizations insist that bans are somehow good for people in hospitality businesses. This chart shows otherwise. These businesses have lost a significant portion of their business as a direct result of smoking bans. Many are closed. Many that are still open have told us they doubt they'll survive much longer.

Most of this information comes directly from businesses that have contacted me or my colleagues. Some comes from newspaper articles. Blank spaces in the chart represent data that is unavailable, or that doesn't apply. (For instance, a distributor doesn't receive tips, and many owner-operators of small taverns don't have any employees other than themselves and family members.)

You need to buy a dictionary and look up the meaning of veracity. Dishonesty is not stating the truth. You made claims, then you have purposefully disregarded direct questions of those claims. Your claims were proven false. You lied!

You make a lot of claims - unsupported claims. hmmm

You claim to have contacted two of the restaurants on the list. You were asked to list them for verification. You listed one restaurant. I called a number in Yahoo for that restaurant and the number had been disconnected. I asked for the number you used. You did not provide the number or the name of a second restaurant. You have failed to prove your claim and that shows that your claim was a purposeful false claim. That is a lie!

Now prove where I lied!

Please don't make declarative statements about things you don't know about.

I don't.

He probably knows what the smoking ban has done to this state and doesn't want to go there!!

Ok. What has it done to Florida?

You claim you don't make declarative statements about things you don't know about????????????? You've got to be kidding???

You made this statement about the Delaware smoking ban:

the state of Delaware enacted the smoking ban along with strong public and commercial support.

and then chose to ignore the factual information of how the ban came to pass from someone who was there and knows what happened.

I won't even get into your lovely habit of omitting certain facts when you make further declarative statements of things you have no first hand knowledge. (or your propensity for making personal attacks when caught doing so).

You mean my search for other freedom and liberty loving individuals,

I mean:

"6'1" and 185 pounds. I workout 3-5 days a week (usually 5) and I'm in very good shape. Any cute, single FReeper women out there? I can't stand the liberal Atlanta women."

And your response when I asked if your girlfriend knew of your internet solicitations:

"Probably not. She doesn't have access to my computers."

I find more credibility in the printed quotes of those representing the organizations and formal polls than I do with those posting on FR with an agenda.

You sleaze. Why do you not post the WHOLE? As given by Gabz which fully supports my post:

You have the nerve to call someone else sleaze?

Why don't you give the whole of my post which stated you were only PARTIALLY correct?????

I will paraphrase - the owner of the coach House when the ban went into effect closed it and put it on the market - the person running it now openned it well after the ban was in effect.

The coach House was closed BECAUSE of the smoking ban. what is going on there now is an entirely different scenario than prior to the current ownership.

You can try as much as you like - but facts are facts.

And those being quoted or doing formal polls don't have agendas???????

BWAAAAA HAAAAA HAAAAAAA

That has got to be the funniest thing I have ever heard.

In a state as small as Delaware, one does not continue having access to information without having more than just an iota of credibility.

It's funny that someone in Florida would question, and even attempt to disparage, my credibility, when even those I have been opposing for years in Delaware will not. People that have known me personally for more than 20 years.

By LEN HOLMQUIST
12/10/2002

When the Delaware Clean Indoor Air Act was passed by the state legislature and signed into law, bowling centers in the state were fearful it would hurt their business.

Center owners and managers were concerned about two things: The sudden flight of longtime league members who smoke, and attracting new bowlers to fill the openings left by those dropping out.

A sampling of several of the centers shows the feared flight of league players has not materialized.
