TERRI'S FIGHT
(Thread 5 - November 5-7)
(Link back to Thread 4 - Nov. 3-4)
.
Contained in Thread 4:
.
Resource links to search business and criminal records in Florida, info on special guardian ad litum meeting (attempt to change qualifications?), Michael Schiavo parody, link to referral letter for Dr. Hammersfahr to the Nobel committee, transcript to Abrams Report closing commments - Nov.3, e-mail address for Larry King Live, Florida statutes on guardianship and some damning statements against Michael.

.
This thread serves as a place for posting all new general information and references, along with links following Terri's case, plus information on cable news and talk radio shows dealing with the issue, court cases and press releases. This is also the place to post contact information, prayers and general discussion.
If you have something that qualifies as BREAKING NEWS or FRONT PAGE NEWS, please post it on a separate thread in that category in order to give it maximum exposure and then post a link to the article/thread here so that it will be included in the next update of links. Also, if you post links to articles from original sources and there is also a thread on FR, please link to the FR thread. Many original links become corrupt over time and we want to be able to access the information at will.
I know we're all getting tired, but we have to hang in there. This isn't just Terri's fight anymore. It is our fight too. To everyone who has worked tirelessly to gather information, write letters, make phone calls, spend time in prayer, be at the vigil supporting Terri's family and all the many other offerings you have given for this effort, thank you and may the Lord richly bless you.

I am so glad that things are swinging in Terri's favor now. I have no legal background at all, and am doing my best to try to follow all the minutiae that just may end up freeing Terri, and I'm glad for all this discussion of it.
I know I'm not adding anything substantial to this discussion, but my heart goes out to Terri, and it's nice to express it here.

Indeed! This is definitely a
Type 1 troll. Since he's a newbie to FR, I figured maybe he hasn't met the owner yet. I concluded this after observing him make 6 posts in a row on another Terri thread where he thought using the word "godsquad" was the pinnacle of insults and was unable to finish a complete sentence without it.
I wonder if he's met JimRob yet...who has previously posted (emphasis mine):
"Liberals are not welcome here. Nor are abortionists...homosexualists...religious bigots..."
"And my own dear sweet wife lay helpless in a coma for two weeks after having two brain surgeries to repair a burst aneurysm. Her brain functions shut completely down due to swelling and trauma. Then she was in intensive care for several weeks after she finally came out of the coma. Thank God for the doctors and nurses and all the medical equipment they hooked her up to that kept her alive for us. And thank God no one gave up on her and wrote her off as a vegetable."
"Majority control is much too powerful and too important to our Liberty to be entrusted to the unabashed God-hating..."
"Well, I think all of you who fought this battle are to be commended. Saving this life and others who may be caught in the same predicament is a great thing. And I pray that it is not too late for Terri. I also know that the battle is far from over, but with your continued diligence and prayers, it can be won."

Sounds to me like Felos should have been listening to God a little more closely when He said to Felos, "Be careful with how you use your power!" (my paraphrase for when Felos said that God spoke to him when he tried to crash the airplane with his mind).
Kinda like "Be careful what you wish for, it just might come true!"

>>"msnbc, anderson and felos on now!"
SL: What did they say? I don't get MSNBC. They're on together??
Well, they were together in a technological sense---side by side on a split tv screen. (In which Pat looked great, btw, and Felos was upstaged by his own right eyebrow that looked like it was going to drift skyward.)
Abrams asked a few questions and mostly let them get their points across uninterrupted. At one point he asked Pat for a rebuttal of Felos but she didn't take the bait, just went on getting her message across. The usual stuff, that Michael got the money and Terri got no rehab afterwards, etc. Felos claimed then that courts have determined that MS has been a MODEL husband. He said the case between the Schindlers and MS was over---Pat called that inaccurate and effectively corrected him. Overall, though I'm hardly impartial, I'd say Pat made a much better impression. Felos seemed defensive, as well he should be!
They will probably rebroadcast later tonight and if I catch it again I'll have the Wordpad out.

"All who hate me love death." Woooohooooo!!!! Sounds like Chris, and the listeners got an earful. And what I find really ironic is this: the ACLU and the God haters try to beat down God's presence in the schools and in the public square, but God will not be silenced! His word is now being spoken to a national audience, not just on CBN or EWTN, but on MSNBC....and CNN....and others, and it's because Satan and his death brigade, in their zealousness for evil, pushed too far.
When worldly men take on the word of God in their own wisdom, they look very small and foolish, because the truth of God's word cannot be refuted. And have you noticed how they usually will try to challenge biblical interpretation by casting "doctrine" in a denominational light?
This guy was brilliant, and open to the Spirit, because he didn't let him get away with it, but used truths that cut across ALL Christian denominations. JESUS came to give life! All who HATE Me love death! It doesn't get any simpler than that, and that truth is really not open to interpretation.
"But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;" (1 Corin. 1:27)

Thank you for that confirmation. Felos is in for a looong battle :-) and he's definitely outmatched. With the ACLU behind this, they have unlimited funds to pursue it, but I wonder if the ACLU would keep paying Felos' legal fees. Heehee. I bet you're right that if Michael loses guardianship then he and Felos are out of the litigation regarding the constitutional challenge of Terri's Law. Since the petitioner is Michael and Terri Schiavo, would the ACLU have to start the challenge over again from the beginning too? This is sounding better and better.

Wow, I missed that last one. I had seen the one about his wife. Yeah, but you know, I think at this point we're handling the trolls just fine. They out themselves, and I think we all have a heightened awareness, and it actually gives us a humorous distraction when cast in the right perspective....and like the demons, the trolls do NOT like to be mocked. It is the only thing that bothers them more than being ignored.

Can someone summarize the two legal developments in just a few sentences: the guardianship issue and Schiavo's suit against Bush regarding the constitutionality of Terri's Law?
To: supercat
"If I may use an analogy, there are two ways to win money at poker: (1) play really well, or (2) seek out players who are worse than you, and only play against those. Felos is an expert at approach (2), and consistently wins when he picks the right opponents. His latest action, though, is equivalent to engaging himself in a heads-up match against an expert. Prepare for the slaughter." Gotta love it! You reckon Jeb's attorneys were baiting that trap all along?
