Why don't we make this a live thread for KY as well? Lets put all the results in one place.

Ah, crap. Looks like the Miss. SOS site won't have live results.
Can any Mississippi Freepers suggest another Web outlet for numbers?

CBS News projecting that Al Gore will win Mississippi. Says Rather, "When we make a projection, you can take it to the bank, lock it in a lockbox, and cover it with your Momma's shawl. You can zip it up in leather and wrap it in linen. You can..."

looking Good in KY! ;)

Here in NE Mississippi the black turnout has been significant. Poll workers I spoke with have NEVER seen a turnout like this. When I voted at 7am sharp this morning there were 20 folks in line behind me when usually there are just a couple of individuals. This is going to be fun tonight. Maybe Haley Barbour will win and Freepers have someone else in their corner.

Woo-hoo! I'm leaving work right now to go vote w/ my wife. I'll be back in about an hour for more election night fun on FR.
BTW, this live election thread is a great idea, isn't it? ;-)

I haven't followed this election obsessively, but what I expect is a Haley Barbour victory in the 6-8% range. Turnout in NE MS seemed VERY heavy to me and everyone else who mentioned it today. I just voted, on the way home from work, and I was #646. Smallish precinct. In the past when I've voted this time of day, numbers were more in the 300s and 400s.

Just curious... what other races are going on today? All I've heard about are Kentucky and Mississipi. I think I heard Louisiana is on the 15th, right? Is it just Governorships this year, no Senate or House races? Sorry, I know I should know these answers, but I'm wondering if it's different in different states.
