Unlike Detroit, Philly has term limits. This is Street's second and final term.

Way too early to say that in a state as polarized as Mississippi. Maybe a slug of votes came in from hyper GOP Rankin County. Alas, the only site with county totals hasn't updated in the last 20 minutes.

The last polls I saw had Barbour 47-43, Tuck 54-40, Reeves and Anderson even and Hood and Newton even. That's why the Hood landslide is so dam surprising to me.
To: ACAC
Were these numbers a gain or loss in the Senate and Assembly for the GOP?

OK - well some people are talking about this too, but it's not the right thread so this'll be my last post. I'm no paleocon and no troll, more of a libertarian but I sure as hell am no DU troll!
All I'll say is, War on Terror - good. War on Afghanistan -- good. War on Iraq -- bad. Spending hundreds of billions on social engineering in Iraq, social engineering that doesn't even work in our own cities -- BAD.

Interesting... I didn't know that one could be paleocon and not be against the war :) You'd be the first I've met...
Don't get me wrong, btw. I know and like plenty of paleocons. Agree with them on most issues. But the ones I've known have been every bit as shrill and anti-war about Iraq as the RATS.

The state Senate was 20-20. Dems now control it. Not a surprise though.

Lucky for Philly. That means it won't be 20 years of Coleman like we had.

I'd like to know, what was the last poll reporting. Can u or any other Mississipian tell us the exact numbers/percentages for each candidate going into today's election. The last poll I saw was Friday's WAPT-TV poll, which gave Musgrove a 42-41 lead.
To: Prolifeconservative
Last poll had Barbour up by 5%
