Figures. It's sickening. Only Democrats could rally in support for a candidate -because- they were under federal investigation, especially one with such a clear history of corruption.

I lived in D.C. when the Mirion Barry (sp?) stuff went on. That was just -pathetic-. The man does crack with prostitutes, serves his jail time, and then gets RE-ELECTED!

Philly deserves what it gets.

Just for kicks, while we wait and wait and wait on election results....

Q: What's the definition of insane?

A: Running for Governor of MS on the Green Party Ticket.

Check out Dillon4Gov.com.

Here's an excerpt from a letter posted on Sherman Lee Dillon's website:

I'm in the early stages of what could possibly be the most difficult thing I've ever done: running a serious campaign for governor of Mississippi.

Despite my efforts, following the mainstream has never been something that was easy. This has worked both for and against me, but in any case everything has turned out better than I could have expected. My life is full of pleasure and I've suffered few discomforts. I suppose what I'm getting at is that I never in my life imagined myself running for governor-but now that I am, I welcome the challenge wholeheartedly.

In the summer of 1991 I toured Germany, playing guitar in a country music band. It was there that I first heard of the Green Party. I joined the party within a month, and have been a member ever since.

[Klaus and Dillon are at a concert in Munich.]

Klaus: Want some drugs?
Dillon: Sure.
Klaus: Here you go.
Dillon. Thanks. (eating acid). Wow. I can SEE the music!
Klaus: Would you like to join the Green Party?
Dillon. Absolutely!

FBI bugging his office gave him the election. Katz was up 47-41 in the polls when bug was discovered. Street used it to play the race card and polarize the electorate against Katz.

"What ever came of the FBI bugging his office?"

It increased his numbers. He played a Hillary "right wing conspiracy" and it worked. Pathetic, ain't it?

I was afraid of that. IIRC, the race was dead even prior to that.

No, if you read it, it can't mean that. But thanks for your input even if it's got nothing to do with the post.

You can feel pretty good unless no precients in Jackson have logged in. Metro Jackson is about 20% of the state's population and the core city limits is about as Dem as East St Louis.

As I said in another post, I was afraid of that. But what was the reason for the bugging? Has any more information come out about it? Just curious.
