AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - A five-year-old Dutch girl handed out "sweets" to classmates that turned out to be ecstasy, cocaine and heroin pills, police said on Monday.

The drugs were confiscated by a suspicious teacher before any were consumed at the primary school in Hilversum, southeast of Amsterdam. Police arrested the girl's older brothers aged 21, 19 and 16 and her 43-year-old mother.

Large quantities of soft drugs and hard drugs were found in the car of the eldest brother. The brothers were in custody, but their mother was set free after questioning.

I'm sure your kids have no rules and are allowed to take your beer and guns to class right? Just because there are some irresponsible parents does not mean everybody should pay the consequences. The WOD is a dumb a prohibition. Neither has a place in a FREE country.

Wha, Wha?? The Libertarians on FR tell me that the Netherlands is heaven on Earth, especially Amsterdam, with their liberal drug poicies and all.

Correct Wolfie?

No, only pot is allowed. But parties like Greenleft (a bunch of ex-commies, enviromentalists and multiculturists) are pushing for legalization of harder stuff.

The drugs were confiscated by a suspicious teacher

So the teacher was suspicious, huh? Did she have a crack pipe in her desk or something?

It's mostly the leftists parties who pushed for the legalization. You know, the same people who brought us 'heavenly' things like multiculture, rights for illegal immigrants, loads of asylumseekers, handing out money to people to lazy to work, more rights for criminals then honest citizens and stuff like that.

I wonder what the Libertarians got in store for the US after they succeed legalizing pot.

Um, why do associate leftist with libetarian? And the issues you put forth, those aren't all libertarian, but they are all leftist. It seems you are picking a fight, and calling all your friends over to watch you "kick butt".

How third grade.

"Wha, Wha?? The Libertarians on FR tell me that the Netherlands is heaven on Earth, especially Amsterdam, with their liberal drug poicies and all. "

It's her 5 yr old classmates' responsibility to understand that there is risk associated with taking "candy" from another classmate. If they took it those that survived just wouldn't accept any candy from her anymore. We don't need any government interference in our children handing out candy or drugs. /Sarcasm off

"The WOD is a dumb a prohibition."

So you think nothing should be prohibited?

NOTHING?

If you say "No, I don't mean there aren't things that should be prohibited," then you must provide a convincing argument why changing the current drug laws would be a good thing.

If you say "Yes, nothing should be prohibited," then please give me your address. I need some things, and I thought I could save some money by simply taking them from your home.

That's a mighty big straw man you've got there. But then I suppose it's easier than dealing with the positions people *actually* hold, eh?
