It had nothing to do with the backlash. Just all them people who were boycotting their advertisers.

Do they have Yogi writing their press releases?

Well, of course. These are the people who want us to believe that Global Warming is not caused by the sun.

Then what was their reason?

"Our decision was based entirely on the films innacuracies rather than the controvesry surrounding it." *spin*

Right... but it DID have to do with being a total piece of lies trashing a living President, even stooping to make up "quotes" and scenes.

Update: Newly hired CBS Spokesman Bagdad Bob released the following statement:

"The support for the show was overwhelming. The American people were writing and calling CBS and their sponsors about how excited they were to see the Reagan movie. CBS decided that Showtime would give the show more exposure due to such popular demand."

I give them credit. The realized they'd made a mistake, and they made a change to correct it. Good for them.

CBS Says Decision to Pull "Reagans" had nothing to do with Controversy!

They haven't pulled the show. They only moved it to Showtime.

The heat needs to be kept up on Viacom, and on CBS itself (it's advertizers are still vulnerable to pressure), until this turkey production hits the land fill.

They just couldn't win once the script was leaked.

That's great. I love seeing cornered jackasses with no where to hide.

They are going to be getting sh*t from the liberals over this decision for years!

A-ha!

Sounds like something "Baghdad Bob" would say.

I just wish liberals would use more of this kind of thinking when their lives depend on it. Like "Sure - sharks and chum in the water are pure coincidence. And go ahead - jump on that third rail - it's just there for looks. Hey, and there's a thunderstorm...good time to put up that UN flagpole you've been babblin' about."

Barbara Streisand.

If it was inacuracies why did viacom move it from CBS to Showtime UNCUT?

CBS had nothing to do with this, it was Viacom bosses.

Moving it to Showtime is as good as deep sixing it. Ever look at what's playing on Showtime?...they keep running Water World and other Kevin Costner drek.

CBS is trying to cover it's left flank, I see. The liberals are screaming about how they've knuckled under to "censorship."
