The President, on another busy day, visited Birmingham, AL, to speak at Crane Works, a heavy construction company, and then attended a Bush-Cheney fund-raising luncheon. He then attended a rally in London, Kentucky.
At the Crane Company, Pres. Bush said last week's report that the U.S. economy surged in the third quarter was good news for American workers and called on Congress to keep his administration's policies intact.
I also heard on Fox News that the President in planning on flying to CA to view the damage from the forest fires, which will allow him to spend another night at his ranch.

I hope you are doing well, Gretchen...MUD
The silver lining there is that the audience will know they are watching something that even CBS declined to endorse -- a huge improvement over the Eye shoving this off as authentic drama. The new distributors appeal to the twists in human nature but the audience knows this is bad fruit. People who would rent / buy this video would not be likely to be ideologically touched by the Reagan Revolution anytime soon -- but this is a very different audience than CBS would have inflicted this on, in general.
God BLESS the memory of Ronald Reagan and his presidency and defeat all efforts to rewrite history.
As the O.J. Simpson civil suit proved you can be innocent of murder and still lose a civil suit over wrongfull death.I can't imagine an abortionist doing a late term abortion after congress passed the law, and President Bush has vowed to sign it.
It does not require the mother to file a civil suit, it takes a husband, mother or father of the woman aborted or or even her brother or sister. And in many states the suit could be filed in the relatives home district.
Defending a civil suit in the bible belt or deep south for wrongful death on a late term abortion case, is something no Dr. would want to face and few if any attorneys could win. And we are talking sending a message in damages granted.
Before congress passed and Bush promised to sign the law late term abortion was clearly not murder. We are in never never land as far as civil suits are concerned. The abortionist can not be tried for murder, but they can get sued for wrongful death. Such a judgement would make a lifetime pauper out of the Dr. that lost the case.
If someone gets 600 thousand judgement for serving hot coffee, what would a jury think killing your grandchild is worth?
Only a very stupid abortionist would be doing late term abortions now. When it was clearly legal and apt to stay that way, abortionists could count on the dismissal of a wrongful death suit by the judge. That is not at all clear that such a case would be dismissed now that it will soon be murder and everyone knows it. And if one were to go to the Jury, that Doctor would never be able to rise above abject poverty in his remaining life.
The Doctor will soon have to find a new way to make a living. They are no doubt all doing that right now. It would take a very foolish Dr. to do one in the USA now.
I just wanted to make that clear.
