The President, on another busy day, visited Birmingham, AL, to speak at Crane Works, a heavy construction company, and then attended a Bush-Cheney fund-raising luncheon. He then attended a rally in London, Kentucky.
At the Crane Company, Pres. Bush said last week's report that the U.S. economy surged in the third quarter was good news for American workers and called on Congress to keep his administration's policies intact.
I also heard on Fox News that the President in planning on flying to CA to view the damage from the forest fires, which will allow him to spend another night at his ranch.
Enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya, and welcome to sanity island!

If I remember correctly they once belonged to either a Walker or a Pierce and have been handed down in the family.

Drudge has a teaser (no story yet):
BLACK EYE: CBS CANCELS 'REAGANS'
From the disgusting "story" tidbits leaked so far, this has to be a good thing, but I admit to being more than a little shocked that CBS "got it." I hope careers take dramatic turns at CBS over this folly.

Feel very free to edit the yahoo - reuters - ap - etc., captions because they inject such a downer into the Dose except the ones where they are simply stating facts. The bias just in the photo captions is appalling.
BTW, my newly fixed PC went and did a bad thing this AM - it got itself all tangled up in an errant write-to-hard disk fiasco and has to go back to The Shoppe tomorrow where they will restore my (previously backed up, thank GOD!) hard drive. So I might be in the same situation this Wednesday as I was last Wednesday, depending on what hour the PC returns; that is, slowpoke and piecemeal posting. That is, if this PC (my other one) is cooperating.

Your PC problems sound like mine from Summer 2002. I finally gave up and UPS'd it off to a good friend, who fixed it. I wish you had a friend like that - as sometimes it takes so long, it can be very expensive for a by-the-hour repair guy to fix it - unless it's being fixed under Warranty. But even then, they don't seem to be in a hurry to fix it.
Hope it comes back home soon and working correctly. You sure have had your problems with it.

In case not answered - the pens are given to key people involved in getting the legislation to the signer's desk.

2timothy3.16, Do you know if the partial-birth abortion bill is engrossed and on the President's desk waiting for his signature and he is just too stinking lazy or carefree to get himself and the original in the same place, so he can sign it?
If that is the case, then shame on him. If the bill hasn't traveled to his desk from Congress yet, then what can he do?

Hi all, Ohio fan i worry about the soldiers who are driving those routes in Iraq everyday, They are doing an outstanding job, we need the AIR Force to Start moving more material by air and get these kids off the road! Dr. Deb, thanks for the last package I received, I always look forward to them and they are much appreciated. Everyone continue to pray for all the soldiers in Iraq and we try and get through this month of Ramadan, The threat during this time is very high.

I wonder if the stinker is going to go into direct sales. I just have this gnawing feeling that CBS wants to recoup its money off the hit piece and that, while they aren't showing it *now*, it could surface at another date. I hope not.
