Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

Monday, November 3, 2003

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

Yep, good call......

As of 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8

Due to hazardous icing conditions and with no significant warming predicted for the day, all airline service to Portland International Airport (PDX) is suspended until 5 a.m. on Friday, January 9, at the earliest. No flights will arrive or depart

BA 847 Warsaw to Heathrow landed 25 min late. Now I notice that all of the BA arrive/depart info is "unavailable" or
"call airline"

I wonder if the weather cancelled Alaska 602?

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Series...Mr. Hugh Series."

Careful JP; isn't recommending a 3rd party candidate one of the contributors to how we ended up being stuck with clintoon in the first place? Isn't this also one of the factors in how the race between GWB and algore was very close? The reality is that 3rd party candidates -- even excellent choices such as Tancredo -- are spoilers.

My vote remains with GWB despite my disappointment with the illegal immigration policy ideas. I am hoping that GWB has a few tricks up his sleeves, as he so often does.

Much will probably change before such a policy switch happens, IMHO. This is a huge, important issue, but it is one issue and nearly all other issues that I care about find GWB on the good, right and moral side. We will never find a person who will mirror all of our ideals. Even though -- for the most part -- we are all non-liberals and non-demoncrats here on FR, there are variances even among our stances. If we don't continue to work together, we will loose the progress we have made since election 2000.

Most of the other flights arrive or depart around 7 PM eastern. Odd?

I forget where I read it, but I recall a mention of a bomb being placed inside of a cadaver. Do they screen human remains? Gross thought, I know. The same comments made mention of a pacemaker.

Thanks for the info...just a little paranoia settling in as I catch up on the past posts. The thought of him flying to Las Vegas gives me the chills along with the thought of him staying at a hotel that has been mentioned here!

My background is in psychology. Years ago, I remember reading a study about how people respond to threats. People tended to either be "sensitizers" or "repressors". When facing a threat, sensitizers sought out all possible sources of information- in an effort to at least have a sense of predictability if not control. Repressors, on the other hand, engaged in denial.

I wouldn't worry too much. I think every hotel, airline filght, seaport, landmark and just about any threat you can conjure up has been mentioned here.

Thanks, Velveeta. I really hope that the info bantered back & forth on this thread is helpful to "powers that be" and that we aren't being jerked around in an Internet game of "Clue" ("EOM with WMD on a plane flown by Colonel Mustard.") Last night, I thought back to a post I made and wondered if I had gone off the deep end...guess I'm looking for a quick & easy payoff to a problem that's gonna' be here for quite a while.

Also, are human organs for transplant operations screened before being put on planes? Are animals x-rayed or screened in any fashion ('belly of the eagle,' etc.)?

>>>My personal gut read on it is that he got caught up with extremist crowd

Not caught up with as in recent. Started off as a young boy.

Recruiting occurs when a boy is young. Over in the M.E., unless you are born into a political power, you have nothing. You are poor with no hope for a future.

Enter the recruiters. You are given food, clothes, an education, training, of course in the orthodox life of Islam.

Then one is raised by the recruiters. Everything you end up with in the end, wives, businesses, education, training is owed to the recruiters.

When it is time to travel (called to martyr), your family will be taken care of for life.

So the only way to 'get out' of a third world country is by recruiting. Everything gained for life is owed from recruiting. When it is 'time to travel', family is taken care of. Martyr gets to meet Allah, 72 virgins and gets to submit 70 relatives promisery status to gain entrance to heaven.
