We have just recieved two unconfirmed reports from US Government sources in Virginia that US SOF captured Osama bin Laden in Iran today. The offical stance will be to deny these reports until Osama bin Laden is secreted to a secure location under US control. We are awaiting a third source on this breaking news and will update the NEIN site with that third source corroborating the information we currently have.

Your response made me think about Psalm 23. It has always helped me. I memorized it a long time ago. Whenever I am afraid or anxious, I will say it to myself over and over again. I will repeat it until I am no longer afraid. These words have comforted me in some very "tough times". God does not want us to be afraid because fear does not come from him. Fear hinders us from doing the work that God has called us to do. It has a way of paralyzing us.

I agree with you. We must continue to live our lives even though we face these threats of terrorism.

Wait a minute!!!!!! Was OBL really captured? I thought that was a rumor! I was trying to catch up on this thread and I saw someone saying that he was captured. Tell me it's so...I would be SO HAPPY! This would put a huge dent in the whole AQ operation.

KARACHI, Pakistan Pakistani agents are trying to determine whether an Al Qaeda leader is among seven suspected members of the terrorist network arrested in a weekend raid, and they have called in the FBI to help interrogate the suspects, intelligence officials said on Monday.

Officials said that the suspects were two Egyptian and three Afghan men and two Arab women.

They were arrested at an apartment complex in Karachi on Sunday. Five grenades, four handguns, ammunition and maps of Pakistan and Afghanistan also were seized in the raid, the authorities said.

Photographs of the seven were being compared with those of other Al Qaeda suspects, an intelligence official said.

"We are trying to establish whether any senior Al Qaeda leader is among these people," said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Agents from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation were to join Pakistani intelligence officers on Monday or Tuesday in interrogating the suspects, the intelligence official said. The Pakistanis had hoped to arrest a leader of a local Islamic militant organization in the raid on Sunday, but he was not found, the official said.
