A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.
The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?
The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.
Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.
DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.
Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.
Sudanese Man Arrested at London Airport 1 hour, 43 minutes ago
LONDON - A Sudanese native was arrested at Heathrow Airport on Wednesday on suspicion of possessing ammunition, police said.
The 45-year-old man had arrived on a Virgin Atlantic flight from Washington D.C. and was in transit, a spokesman for London's Metropolitan Police said. He was arrested under Section 1 of the Firearms Act after passing through a security check, the spokesman said. He did not describe the suspected ammunition but said it was undergoing forensic tests.
A spokesman for BAA PLC, which operates Heathrow, said the man was trying to board a flight to Dubai when he was arrested.
Heavenly Father, we covet for all peoples the freedom that we enjoy, yet there are many who covet the riches that You have bestowed upon us. I thank You, O God, that You have made us a nation that desires to share its love of freedom, and its wealth, with others. But keep us firm and resolute that our compassion is not to be mistaken for weakness ... strengthen our ability to be fierce in our defense if that is needed, and wise in our efforts to prevent disaster from coming upon us or those we would defend. Protect those who protect us, Creator God, whether they serve abroad or at home, for they are our line of defense against an unseen enemy. We praise You for Your goodness and mercy to us ... let the people continually acknowledge You as Shield and Defender, to the glory of Almighty God, and in the Name of Jesus, Amen ...
Well, since they are so busy frisking and searching old ladies and children, that leaves less time for the real threats!! That new color code system (red, yellow & green)may be very helpful in this regard.
Considering the type of people that used to work in screening, that's a scary thought. I hope the TSA vetted them carefully, but if they have a good cover then anything's possible.
Now, as for the people that service the plane???? Oh brother, I think the catering, cleaning etc. are still contracted out and that is a big hole in the security as far as I'm concerned.
You don't think it hasn't been? Of course it has. The question is: how extensively.
You'd always assume the potential that you've been infiltrated - there are few if any organizations that have never been infiltrated. That's one reason why you won't see the security people working alone.
Yes, obviously - that's one of the Islamic epithets for Saudi Arabia / the Arabian peninsula.
Very good if true ... if what was found wasn't a honeypot that was placed there for catching either unsuspecting terrorist sympathizers or terrorist hunters.
Posts like EOM's are good for propaganda but are very dangerous for an actual operative to make -- they endanger both his or her own cover and the operation itself. If EOM had/has actual operational knowledge then he or she is an amateur - possibly an armed and dangerous amateur, but an amateur none the less.
