Thanks for pointing that out. Terri is even better off than Kaye O'Bara of Miami Gardens. Terry can already swallow her own secretions! She does so in videos.
But Kaye O'Bara has to occasionally have her mouth or nose suctioned out or else she would choke to death.
And Terry DOES exhibit signs of cognition. She does respond, and She can point to where she is hurting and say "PAI(n)".
There are even audio .mp3 files from 12 months ago, of her trying to speak with her father.
These are not available at the moment because the server where they are stored still thinks it is October. Could someone save those files ELSEWHERE as soon as they are back online? These files have been unavailable for days because they were too popular and the webpage containing them exceeded its monthly bandwidth!
These are at http://www.friendsofterri.org/audio.html
Actually it is the server at www.zimp.org that is still blocking the files.
Results of examination at Bayfront Medical Center/Medi-Plex Rehabilitation Center - Terri showing signs of responsiveness and improvement.
Patient is awake and her eyes are open. She is easily startled to her name or when the bedrail fell down ...(there is much more)
Her doctor even put a STAR NEXT TO THIS on her records:
Vocalizing when prone in P.T. Occasionally will say "STOP" to nursing during procedures.
That's very good, especially considering how the muscles in the lower half of her face have been allowed to atrophy.
Anyone of us who had to say the word "PAIN" and hadn't had therapy would sound like Terri.
