This is interesting, but the translation reads like it was done by Babelfish or a similar program. This article should be translated by a human being fluent in both Spanish and English.

It reads like a Japanese car owner's manual. Too bad...

It would be kind of disappointing to find Atlantis and discover it had exactly the same kinds of buildings and infrastructure as everybody else did in those days....

Yeah, I'm wondering how he missed it too.
Unless he's got something else up his sleeve?

It was probably translated by a native speaker of Spanish whose English is good, but not the near-native level you need to translate into a language that is not your own. I'm a Spanish-to-English translator, and I never do translations into Spanish, even though my Spanish is quite good, because the possibility for disaster is too great!

That said, I think most people could understand what the author was trying to say. Translation is expensive, and scientific projects frequently have trouble finding a professional translator. A little editing by a native speaker of English would certainly clear it up. I do a certain amount of volunteer or very low-priced work for things like this.

Still and all, the article was very interesting.

I don't know. Maybe because it was only published in Spanish? I don't read Spanish.

It looks like they're calling the Mediterranean plug at Gilbraltar, Atlantis. They have better pictures than the folks at the Cuba site.

Ah.
I don't read Spanish either.
Looks more like they've found yet another sunken city, what's left of one, like the sites off India and other similar places.

I translated a manual for an industrial electric motor into Spanish during college. I can only imagine how many people died because of that translation :)

LOL! Somebody once asked me to translated a medical document - INTO Spanish. Talk about living dangerously! I declined the job - the guilt for all those deaths would have been too much for my conscience.
