How do we know there was not a toy gun used as a foil for a real gun? In other words, the girl had the real gun in her purse, the toy was in the guy's backpack, or vice versa. They've now planted the real gun behind a statue or under a chair or something. Then they turn themselves in and show the toy gun that was on the x-ray. Tomorrow someone else goes into building, picks up gun from pre-planned location and continues with whatever the plan is. Just because there is a toy gun does not mean there is not a real gun. Obviously with two people involved, BOTH carrying bags, there is some careful plan, not an impulsive thing.
