I've studied the roads there pretty damn extensively, back when I lived there. I know where they go.You sound like Holly Hunter in a taxi in Broadcast News.

Ya know, if you wanted to see what kind of security is in place, how the Capitol Hill police react to an incident, to pinpoint the flaws, something like this would be a good scenario.

MHKing is right -- the rest of you are confused. If you follow the signs to STAY ON 395 going North out of Virginia, you end up going underneath the House and Senate buildings and popping out at NY Ave. But you have to exit the main lines of the freeway to do that, as in, you EXIT 395 to stay on 395. If you stay in the mainlines, 395 "becomes" 295 in Anacostia, and 295 ends roughly at Penn. Avenue.

How do we know there was not a toy gun used as a foil for a real gun? In other words, the girl had the real gun in her purse, the toy was in the guy's backpack, or vice versa. They've now planted the real gun behind a statue or under a chair or something. Then they turn themselves in and show the toy gun that was on the x-ray. Tomorrow someone else goes into building, picks up gun from pre-planned location and continues with whatever the plan is. Just because there is a toy gun does not mean there is not a real gun. Obviously with two people involved, BOTH carrying bags, there is some careful plan, not an impulsive thing.
