Incompetence kills. Or, as the (obviously token hire) Children's Welfare commissioner from New Jersey (where the adoptees were starving) says, "UN-competence" kills.

Actually I have a very suspicious mind.
It makes me wonder if these 'innocent staffers" playing a "halloween trick" weren't actually DNC staffers used to create a bigger news story than the surging economy?
I bet that Peter, Dan and Tom tonight will devote more time to this 'scare' than to the now booming economy.
Also, see if they dare to compare GWB's tax relief and now economic growth to what Ronnie Reagan did exactly 20 yrs earlier.
The Dems must be reminded of what happened in '84 and what will happen to them in '04.

Now, kitten, you've apparently never been standing in front of the elevator bank in the federal building at 4:30...LOL!! That's true!
To: auzerais
actually DNC staffers used to create a bigger news story than the surging economy? You know, that does sound like a possiblility. I have to go media blind for a couple hours now so I will have to catch the rerun, but Cavuto at the top of the show mentioned the 'buts' that the media is already put in the stories. He is going to have some guest on to discuss that.

So if 10 bad guys buy swat gear and move in on a government building do you think they could get in?
Hey, it got guys in and out of a casino in Ocean's Eleven!

Since the anti-gun crowd has'nt had much luck lately with violating our second amendment rights,i'm sure they put somebody up to this just like they have with all the other events.
To: mewzilla
We should take this opportunity to reflect on what went wrong. How could a gun, real or toy, get smuggled passed government security? There's no doubt our security procedures in buildings and airports must be strengthened.
The old set questions just don't cut it anymore, like how many terrorists or plain vanilla gun-toters, foreign or domestic, would incriminate themselves by answering the wrong way questions like: "Did you pack your bags?" and "Did they ever leave your sight?"
Obviously, the right questions and a sufficient number of questions are not being asked.
As luck would have it, the Jesse Jackson School of Advisors for Security and Shakedown Operations stands ready to help, to mix it up, to provide a rhyme in time, to add spice to life. Specifically, JJSASSO recommends that interrogators should be asking, "Is that...
a pistol in your pocket?
a gat in your hat?
a mauser in your trouser?
a skoda on your shoulder?
a sidearm in the right arm?
a smoker for the poker?
a duster for the muster?
a trundle for the rumble?
a barker with a marker?
a browning not for clowning?
an uzi with your doozy?
a heater with the cheater?
a torpedo with libido?
a shooter with the rooter?
a pipe that might be ripe?
an iron for little Byron?
a tube for the dude?
a breech for the teach?
a gun up the bun?
a flintlock with shock?
a tool that'd make you drool?
a blunderbuss without the fuss?
a repeater with the beater?
a widowmaker inside the shaker?
a peacemaker, not a faker?

I can't wait to find out which Congresscritter these idiot staffers belong to. If that's actually what happened. I think it is very important that the identities of these two women be made public ASAP.
Because the media hasn't already jumped to immediately identify them, my guess is that they must be DNC staffers, possibly belonging to some important Congressman/woman.
I have said before that I really wouldn't put it past some in the DNC to even 'stage' this kind of 'news event' just to divert the media's attention away from the economy's surging 7.2% growth and recovery.
If any Freeper has heard/read of the actual identities of these two 'pranksters' [and who they 'belong to'], please post &/or email that info.

Brit Hume just said that the two staffers work for an Illinois Congressman Karl Shimkas(sp?), but I cannot find him in Townhall.com's list of Congressmen.
Anyone from IL want to weigh in on who this is?
I'm thinking he must be a Democrat because Rep MacCarthy was on Buchannan &Press earlier and didn't mention who these staffers belonged to.
I am positive that had these two been Republicans, she would have been sure to accuse Bush somehow.

Congressman Shimkus
Republican. Office on 5th floor of the Cannon building. Isn't that where they found the "suspects"?

How do you explain the early reports, one of which you offered, that said the perp was a young man who "fled" ("ran," "took off," "escaped") past the inspection area into the building?
