The guy at the x-ray machine took awhile to figure it out...then it was too late - they were already on their way.The guy at the x-ray machine prob should be relocated :)He'll probably be manning an x-ray machine in Alaska by the end of the day. Just mail him his clothes.

I can't wait to find out which Congresscritter these idiot staffers belong to. If that's actually what happened.

Somewhere far away a couple of evil-doers are being grilled. I'm still wondering why there was no follow-up to the DC sniper shootings. Lots of us Freepers speculated that it was almost a how-to to would-be terrorists. Either they are incapable of it, or are planning something so big that they don't want to endanger that plan (or, they don't want to bother with picking off a half-dozen people when they plan to kill a lot more).

No charges? Isn't a crime to even take a facsimile of a weapon into the Capitol? They go after the boxcutter kid, but let these idiots off? Course, if they charge someone, names get released. Maybe there's something else at work here.
Unless they picked up the costumes at lunchtime, that toy gun went through the scanner more than once today and was missed the other times.

boy I just bet one of them two WOMEN must be some ugly to be mistaken for a man.

A woman with a Halloween costume that included a faux gun?
To: mewzilla
They should have just make an announcement over the loudspeakers: "All those who have entered the building with illegally concealed weapons in the last ten minutes must report to security IMMEDIATELY."
