KNBC: 2100 homes statewide lost, but may not include 350-400 in SB Mtns. this p.m. All Stevenson Ranch homes saved as of this evening, and that danger appears over, due in part to intense aerial assualt.

Despite what Whoreraldo says, Julian is still in play. Geraldo said that Lake Arrowhead was saved yesterday! Several strike teams have been pulled from the Paradise fire to reinforce the Julian fire..my brother's included. They refueled at the Rancho Bernado FS, had 2 hours of r&r and, interestly, filled their 4X4 brush rigs with a new foam retardant agent that is "state of the art". Their mission is to slime every dwelling in Julian. My sister-in-law and many other families were invited to the RB FS to be with together for about 30 minutes til the teams pulled out. They have reached the scene now.

He looked great. Said turn out for him was spectacular, folks wanting autographs. Arnold stayed on message, getting help for Ca.

Very compelling and sad situation. Prayers to all of those effected in California.
Been reading this every night for the last few days and have been very concerned about the strength of these fires.
Media probably won't touch the issue of the "hands off" policies which have allowed the underbrush to grow to catastrophic levels.

You guys are doing great! Nic, I agree with you about posting reports of fires starting elsewhere -- this could definitely be a pattern like the guy driving down I-10 last night and thankfully those fires were immediately put out.

There are sporadic spot fires south of Hesperia but a large build-up of fire personnel are tending these. Spot fires in Honda Valley. This was as of 3:12 when City Hall last updated their emergency fire info. "
IS THERE NOTHING MORE CURRENT?

Media?? Right here on the Central Coast, San Luis Obispo local station (KSBY-TV) is showing a Halloween haunted house, with an airhead reporterette squealing and shrieking about sumo wrestling, saying "Be very afraid", and "I cried earlier" - over a stupid ridiculous Halloween shtick!
Lots of donation centers going... Right now at several Food 4 Less stores they are taking donations. Money, food, clothes are appreciated. They are also especially wanting candy and halloween costumes. There are plans of giving the kids at the shelters a kick ass halloween friday night. It may seem frivolous, but it really is important for these kids to have some normalcy in their lives.

Arnold was great today and he will be coming home with pledges of support accompanied by the money necessary to rebuild Southern California.
