His parents had stuff packed up Saturday afternoon just in case they were told to evacuate. I haven't seen my friend yet, so I was just wondering. I believe they were on the opposite side of the mountain that had the fire.

Confirmation. 3 FFs killed on a ridge, fire turned suddenly on FFs when fire jumped, raged out of control, hit their vehicle. In the Wynola/Julian area. May be more injuries as well as the three deaths.

He didn't say exactly where they were, but he did mention (on Saturday) that one side of Arrowhead was already on fire, but his parents weren't on that side.
