Looks like they are dropping retardant around Lake Arrowhead northshore now. Earlier they said that area was ok. They say the resort is ok.
Another firefighter in Big Bear said he is NOT going to lose any houses, he was on his way to the Dam to draw a line there.
If that map is right several buddies lost homes there

Channel 4 saying all SoCal residents should remove the ash from their car ASAP according to AAA as it is highly corrosive! That's not good. :(
The news recommended conserving water and power when the fires started in San Diego.
To: GOPrincess
I had heard yesterday not to leave the ash sitting on your car for more than a day or so before washing it off.
I just turned off California state board messages. I am so sick and tired of seeing ignoramii arguing over issues there. it's supposed to be for announcements.
anyway.

high winds in Hesperia, south of ranchero.
reporter has goggles, face mask on, large amounts of dust & smoke in the air.
Head of the fire, is "broken up" (scattered) somewhat due to the wind and flying embers.

KNBC from South Hesperia, Rancho and Maple. Reporter has goggles and mask. Wind 40 mph+, smoke everywhere. FF talking about spotting. FF's are there to protect homes. FF says want all homeowners out.

This is even more tragic because the people who live in the LA hills are some of the nicest, down to earth people that there are.
